I think if they spent a little more time with that relationship it would have been better, but because it was SO rushed with their relationship occurring only in a span of 3 episodes, it didn't seem genuine at all.

It's a fine balance to make someone likeable from the start but not be trying to make them seem perfect.

Yeah, exactly! They never tried to make her seem like a perfect character. AB definitely had flaws, but not enough to dislike her as a character.
