Me too, we never really knew much about him - but everyone who talked about him only had nice things to say

Seems like the only bad things he did were never talk about Zoe, not try to be in her life growing up, and slept with an engaged woman to create her to begin with.

Yeah, but I expect that Candice made it quite difficult for him to try & get to know Zoe....she probably kept him away, the fact that he kept sending her postcards proved that he wanted to know her.

I get why Zoe is so angry here, but when we hear things from Brick's pov later, I get where he's coming from too

I get part of it. It's not she really had a chance at doing things like talking to the guy's wife.

I don't think it would have ever crossed her mind, it shows that to Brick, treating a patient means much more than the surgery. He didn't just go home after his part was over, he went to the hospital & then visited the family - & he does deserve credit for that. Zoe deserves credit for dictating the sugery too - they were both in the wrong a little bit, but at least they found some kind of even ground towards the end of it

He does deserve credit for talking to the wife, but Zoe did the life saving.

Yeah, they both did good & they both acted a little out of line afterwards. But they started to make things right at the end of the episode
