Small Town Life - A MYOC RP
It may only be your average town, but the sandy beaches of Sunset Shores have a charming affect on all those who pass by. It is home to many different people and places that make up the personality and charm of it. Its one of those towns where nothing stays a secret for long and everyone comes with a complicated past. This rp follows the teens of this small town in everyday life.
As for the town, think of it as a cross between the sandy beaches of Newport and the small town community of Stars Hollow. Places Lighthouse Diner- popular hangout & work place that has been around since the 50's and managed to maintain the cheesy retro diner feel of that era. Harbour High- The local high school and home of the Harbour Knights football team, who haven't lost a game in 4 years. Central Park- Central Park is really the only park in town. Covered in benches and centered with a small gazebo, it’s a great place for just taking a walk. Surf Shack- As the name pretty much gives away, it’s a store located on the beach that supplies you with all your beach related needs. Joey's- A coffee house/music store owned by none other than Joey himself. Rules -Boy/Girl rule- sorry! -No one liners -Please post as often as possible -No Drama -Have fun! Characters Name: Hariette "Rettie" Roumel Age: Fifteen Personality: Ignorant, stubborn, humorous, overachiever, bold History: Hariette and her family moved to Sunset Shores only a few years ago from London due to her father's dream of becoming the President of the United States. Hariette and her mom think he's nuts of course but the man can not be told no. Hariette focused on adjusting to the American style but she found herself too out in the open. All of the other kids would make fun of her accent and how forward she was. They didn't really like her all that much and it hurt her to believe that she would have no friends. So she finally decided to give up and just let what happen's happen. Relationships: When she was little she had a crush on a boy named Wally. But as for American Crushes: TBA TB: buffyandspike4ever PB: Emma Watson  Name: Jason "Jase" Saunders Age: Seventeen Personality: Optimistic, driven, heartfelt, wild. History: His whole life Jason has lived in LA where all the rough times usually take place. But through it all, Jason never surrendered to being a bad boy. Sure he's wild and all but his heart remains Golden. His mom decided to move to Sunset Shores just a few days ago because of a financial struggle and they needed to settle in a cheaper enviornment. Jason however, felt horrified becasue he was leaving behind his hometown and his friends, and his girlfriend Relationships: He had a girlfriend for 4 years. Her name was Leanne but his mom made him move and so he had to break it off even though he loves her very much. Age: 18 Personality: Intelligent, Humorous, Adventurous, Shy, Determined History: Kayleigh has lived in Sunset Shores her entire life. She lives with her parents, Bob and Robin, and her four sisters, Katelyn, Lauralie, Meghan, and Quinn. As surprising as it may seem, Kayleigh had the best of both worlds growing up. She obviously had many female influences but she also spent a lot of time with her father. With him, she went fishing, camping, and surfing. It may seem that Kayleigh would turn into a tomboy but she had enough female influences to have her appreciate dressing up and wearing make up. Right now, she works at Joey's afterschool and on the weekends. Relationships:TBA TB: BraveGirl4Life PB: Susan Ward  Name: Brandon Lemus Age: 17 Personality: Athletic, Strong, Loner, Clever, Protective History: Brandon and his family moved to Sunset Shores about a year ago. He lives with his mother, Leila, and his sisters and brother, Raina and Aimee, and Mikel. They moved to Sunset Shores from Hawaii after their father, Louis, was arrested for robbing 5 banks in Hawaii. Knowing this was bad publicity for her famous family, Leila gathered her kids and moved to Sunset Shores in the middle of the night without any notice to her parents or friends. She changed their last name and settled in a small house not far from the beach. She told all her children that they would say that their father died in a car accident and never speak of what happened in Hawaii. Brandon has adapted well to his new life. He loves to surf and is on the swimming team at school. After school, he runs his own dog walking and training business.
