The Label - MYOC
The premise is simple, four friends decide to start a new record label (The Label) after graduating from college. They have no experience but they have faith in each other and what they can accomplish. With the help of their staff and their bands, they hope to take the music industry by storm. They’ve divided the company in four departments; PR, Marketing, A&R and Finance; each one of them taking taking control of one of those departments.
The Four Name: Kaleb O’Neil Age: 23 yrs old Job: Head of the PR departement Personality: Quick thinker, Smart, Charismatic and Perfectionist History: Kaleb was born in a coal miners city. The air was hard to breath and the people dirt poor but they were all about family. He was raised in a loving and caring environment but unlike his parents, he didn’t want to settled for a life like that, he wanted more. More money, more power, more success. He spent his childhood studying and working in hopes of getting out of his small town. When college rolled around, he got into every single place he applied, his proudest achievement was getting into Yale but with no scholarship and very little support from his parents, he had to decline. In college, he loosened up a little more but still spent most of his time in the library or working for the student body government, that’s where he got his first taste of PR. On his senior year, he interned for the state governor’s PR team and received a job offer but politics wasn’t his first choice, show business seemed a lot more interesting. And if you haven't, you've probably heard of many of the outrageous things that she's done. Allie is wild, unstoppable, free, and ravenous for sucess. History: No one talks about Allie's past. No one really knows a lot about it, only its tragedies. Allie's family doesn't talk to her. When she was a teenager, she got heavy into drugs and into a lot of trouble. Even after reforming, her parents will never talk to her. She also had a past with a man who completely broke her heart, she never talks about it, but everyone knows her awful relationship with him is why she never commits. It's been a long ride for Allie, but she's finally made it to the top. Rachael was born and raised in Florida and her mother pretty much raised her on her own since her father was always on business trips--or so he said. All throughout her school years, she'd work really hard on every little thing and would always hand them in way before the due date. She'd always ask for some homework to get extra credit. That's how she ended up getting an academic scholarship to college. At college, she worked extra hard and she got into the music business because of her passion and flair for it and she definitely knows good music when she hears it. Her parents were strict but loving and encouraged her to pursue what she loves. It became apparent very clear that Sam was good at math, not just good but brilliant. She had an aptitude for logics and numbers, she was the leader of the mathletes in high school which didn’t do too much for her popularity. She had very few friends and pretty much stuck to her books. Things didn’t change much when she entered college but one night, her roommate dragged her to a party when she met a man who she eventually married. He seemed sweet and loving but he cheated on her everything he had the chance, a fact that Sam knew but blocked from her mind. Last month, she finally got the courage to leave him but leaving him meant leaving her job because he owned the company where she worked. She’s excited about her new job for The Label and hopes to gain some confidence now that she left her husband. He was always shuffled off to stay with his grandparents because his parents were always working around the clock. That's when he vowed he would never be like that. When he left school, he wanted to either go into business or be an accountant. But that all changed when a motivational speaker came to his high school and they talked about how they worked at this big record label in the Finance dept. That's when he wanted to work at a record label and The Label let him achieve that. She did try, she took singing lessons, piano lessons, bought a guitar but it was no use. But what she did have going for her is her ears, she knows good music and she can tell by one listening if a band with success or fail. She started working for Jive records when she was 18 and discovered some of their biggest names but she got fed up with working for a label that tough more about the money than the artist so she left the label and was approached by dozens of companies but The Label seemed to be the only one that really wanted to create a family not just a business. When she was three, her mother died. So her father had to raise her. It's not always easy going through the teenage years without having a mother figure, and the many different girls her father brought home didn't count. Kaitlyn promised herself that she would get a good education and hopefully become very rich, so she would never have to depend on her father. Not long after college, she wrote a novel that brought in a hefty bounty. Soon after, she married and had Rachael. At first, Kaitlyn loved being a mom... But then her marriage started to fall apart. Philip (her husband) started to go away on business trips. She had to raise Rachael on her own, facing the fact that Philip was probably meeting up with some other woman every time he went away. During Rachael's teenage years is when things started to get really ugly. Kaitlyn and Philip divorced. Kaitlyn was constantly a wreck. She couldn't write. She couldn't sleep. That's when Rachael first saw the controling side of her mom. Kaitlyn began to limit Rachael in extremely unfair ways... depriving Rachael of some of the best things about being a teenager. Kaitlyn is extremely hard core and never thought about dating again once Philip left her. Rachael always figured that if Kaitlyn would get back into a romantic relationship that both of them would be much happier. Bruce was never that good in school. He had a couple of learning difficulties (he was illiterate until the age of 12) which made him stay back a year in 4th grade. With the help of a tutor, he was able to regain his confidence and learn to read and write and since he has always been interested in the field of marketing and loves music, he thought he would work for a music label. He has always loved music--old and modern and it would always be a good solace for him if he was down. That's why he thinks working for The Label is right for him. Taken By: ChaChaPrincess Played By: Jensen Ackles  The Artists Name: Rocco Senton Age: 31 yrs old Job: Singer Personality: Addicted, Shallow, Self-Centered and Tempestuous History: Rocco has always craved attention. By the time he was two, he would stand on the kitchen table and scream at the top of his lungs just so his parents would look at him. In hopes of calming down their sons, mr and mrs Senton, enrolled him into their church choir. It quickly became apparent that Rocco’s wild antics would not fade away but also that he had talent, when he sang everybody would listen. When he turned 20, he knocked on the doors of record companies with his demo. His music was a blend of rock and pop with a lot of attitude. He was signed almost immediately and the ride began. In less than two years, he became the biggest star in the world. His first album sold more 12 millions copies, his face was on every magazine and his music videos were on heavy rotation on MTV. Not long after that, he got his first taste of cocaine and that was his down fall. Daniel had no problem rising to the top, he grew up with loads of money, and loads of talent to go with him. By 18, he was in the sensational boy band "Fatal Attraction." After disbanded, Daniel adapted his signature jazz style, and every song and CD he's released has been at the top of the charts. After winning prizes for her efforts, her parents thought it'd be a good idea if Felicity sang professionally and at the age of 13, her parents got her to do a demo tape and send it to every record label they could find. Jive recruited her, but after awhile, she didnt want to work for them anymore, so she discontinued their partnership.
