Post Counts #1: Keeping it real.
 

This thread is now the designated space for keeping track of post counts, rather than the old 'low post count warning' thread, as it was brought to my attention we probably should not have kept that one going as long as we did. :lol:

I'll edit this with each month's base number, so it'll be easier for me to calculate how we're doing.

Base for March: 344,401

Please also keep conversations in this thread related to counts, how we might improve counts, etc. ;)

How is the number calculated again? I don't know why that always confuses me. :look: :lol:

You take the base number of the month - our post count at the end of the previous month. Then you take our current post count number and subtract the base from that, giving us our total number of posts for that month.

334,584 (current post count) - 330,328 (base) = 4,256

Then you divide it by the number of days it's been (on May 15, for example, you'd divide by 15) to get the posts per day number.

4,256 / 30 (May 30th) = 141.9.

Man, that just gave me flashbacks to math class. *shudder* :lol:
