In Fair Verona

Yeah, so, the thread got eaten or it disappeared or something. But I still have the banners and all that happiness. You've all read the intro, and the profiles, etc... so you won't have to do them again. We'll just pick up where-ever you left off and I'll edit other stuff in here later.

"You're right. We're all just human. Even him." I admitted, with a sigh. "But sometimes it's hard to believe... even if it was an accident, I still can't get out of my head that he was killed by them. At their hands. I think, that sometimes... it hurts even worse when someone is killed because of an accident, rather than on purpose. It just wasn't supposed to happen." I closed my eyes, feeling the fire's warmth and not seeing the orange blaze infront of me. Like a spirit. You can't see it, but you feel that it's there. I wished that I could feel Toad's right now. "Hey," I looked up at Aurora, an idea suddenly forming itself in my mind. "We should hold some sort of ceremony for him." I told her. "At the shore, in his honor. Make it official. He deserves that." I said thoughtfully, with a solemn smile.

Fang

"I believe you." I told her as she insisted that she wasn't thinking about Toad. To be honest, I didn't quite believe her, but I said it anyway. Aurora probably knew that I didn't believe her, too. But sometimes, you tell somebody what they want to hear... and they hear the truth inside of that lie. It's like saying the truth in a nicer way, I suppose. And I wouldn't bother with that with anyone else but Azalea. "I don't know." I responded to her other question. "Who knows what goes on in their minds? They're probably too complex for us..." I trailed off. "Too busy thinking about getting off the island, that they don't bother to think about surviving on the island. I mean, you can't get off if you're dead, right?" I asked her, somehow wanting to be reassured myself. "Anyway... what's done is done." I said, leaning my head against the wall.

Oceana

"Ah. I don't think you'll spot any pigs around here anytime soon." I told Spider, plucking a blade of grass from the ground and playing with it with one hand. "They've been scared to come back to this area ever since... the incident. Probably think they'll get the life speared out of them too." And, well, being pigs, and being food, they would. "It'll be a couple of days before they're brave enough to come back. That's my prediction." I told him. "Me? I'm not hunting right now. I don't think Tiger-claw will make me or any of the hunters from the other day for awhile. We'll probably be on security most of the time." I told him, tossing the blade of grass away. "But, hey, I could help you if you want. I really don't have a problem with going again, and if we're going to go deeper into the forest where the food's hiding, it's best not to go alone."

While I walked I wasn't even looking around anymore. My eyes were fixed on the ground and I really wasn't paying attention to anything around me. And that's when someone bumped into me, hard. Or I bumped into them, I wasn't really sure. The person almost knocked me down and I held on to them to keep my balance. "Geez, watch it." I snapped at them. Then I looked up to see who it was. "Oh, hey." I say to Tiger Claw, feeling a little embarrassed and then I slowly let go of him. "Sorry about that, I wasn't really paying attention." I tell him. It was an excuse, but at least it was the truth. "You alright?" I asked and rubbed my arm a little.

"Yeah I'm alright, Jasmine. I'm really sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going, too much on my mind I guess" I tell her with a small sigh. I hated being here, and I hated being leader, but I knew that I could help everyone who would listen to me, and until someone better came along, I would keep on being the leader, and taking everything that happened into me. I look up at Jasmine, "how are you doing?".

"Oh, I'll be okay." I said. "I'm just going to rest a little before I go farther into the thicket. How have you been, since well you know?"I asked her. I had seen how the others were taking it but I hadn't had a chance to talk to Oceana. I was relieved that I hadn't been on hunting duty that day.

"Hmm. Actually... the weird thing is, that I'm not that affected. I mean, I do feel sorry for the guy. I mean, it was an accident, he should be living. But when we were all on that plane... I thought we were all going to die then and there. We'd crash and die. When we survived, I was surprised because I was already in this frame of mind of expecting death. Now it's happened. That's that." I shrugged. "What about you?"

Key

I wrapped the scraps, or more like, rags, of my old school uniform around my waist as I got out of the spring after a nice bath. Walking over into the underbrush of some trees and bushes, I dried myself off and clothed myself, running a hand through my wet hair to slick it back. Deciding that I had nothing better to do, I walked around until I came to parrot's canopy and grabbed a vine hanging down from one of the taller trees. I used to help me climb up, which didn't take that long because I had gotten used to tree climbing by now. When I reached the top and stepped onto a branch to steady myself, I found Leaf sitting on the large branch too, deep in thought. "Ackhmm." I cleared my throat, to let her know I was there. "Sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt you, I didn't know anyone was up here." I told her.

I nodded at her, "That's a great idea. I'm sure Toad would be proud. And it could help lift everyone's moral." For the past couple days, it was like watching ghosts all around you than people. It would have been more unnerving if it wasn't for the fact that I know I was acting the exact same way. Briefly, I wondered how the Venator's were taking it.

"I'm glad you think it's a good idea." I said, sighing with relief. "That must mean it's worth trying." I stood up, throwing another stick into the fire. "We should call a meeting for the tribe, and get them to all come up here and tell them our idea, so we can get started on it sooner." I said, feeling optimistic for the first time in days.

I look up from where I was staring, when I heard a voice and see Key standing there. I let out a small sigh, "thats ok, I've been sitting up here alone all day, so it's nice to see someone" I tell key as I stand up. "I wasn't sure I could be around everyone right now, not after what happened, I just needed to be alone so I could think" I say with a small sigh. I look over to Key, "Why does it have to be like this? why can't we all work together for the better of everyone?".

"Ah, yeah, I know how that is. If you still want to be alone I can le-" I was about to say 'leave', but Leaf had already begun asking me another question, so I cut myself off. I leaned against the tree trunk, looking at her thoughtfully. "I don't know." I told her honestly. "For the same reason that people can't get along in wars, I guess." It was scary, thinking about war. Wars lead to casualties. Toad was our casualty. "Maybe one day, we can. We can convince the other tribe to help us work together and then somebody will come and rescue us, and we'll leave together." I said, then hung my head. "But... maybe I'm just being too idealistic."

"Yeah, I'm fine, thanks." I say to him and nodded a little. Okay, so I was probably half lying there. I'm sure it probably didn't even bother him what happened to Toad. I knew that some people in the tribe could really care less. And those people made me sick. I looked up at him a little. "What about you? How are you doing? Are you alright?" I asked him. He just seemed a little more out of it then usual today.

Willow

Wishing she could stay where she was forever, Willow closed her eyes and focused on the feeling of the water against her skin. For an instant she felt as if everything in this world was ok. Just the way it was supposed to. She had learned to pretend while she was in the spring. Or maybe she wasn't pretending. This was the only place in the island where she was able to forget about everything. But the feeling never lasted more than a few seconds. She couldn't stay there forever after all... Opening her eyes slowly, she returned to the shore to dry herself off. As she put her clothes on, her thoughts returned to Toad and the Venator tribe. Yeah, she was always hit with reality.

Looking ahead, her eyes wandered around before stopping on mountain top. Willow was always concerned about keeping the on-going fire, their only chance to get out of the island. Thinking about this, she headed in that direction but stopped abruptly as she found herself almost bumping into a person halfway over there. "Rocky." She exclaimed, trying to sound as if his sudden presence hadn’t surprised her. Geez, it had. After what happened to Toad, Willow wasn’t sure what to expect anymore.]
