We're just waiting on a couple more profiles but I'd like to get this started while everyone's still excited for it. I could start it as soon as tomorrow? Thursday maybe? Do you guys need any more time than that?

Name: Antonio Moretti
Age: 34
Family most closely affiliated with: Moretti
Three Fast Facts:
• Charismatic, manipulative, devout, and deeply flawed Antonio kept with the family business and became a priest. Despite his alignment to the teachings of the church Antonio twists and selectively picks what pieces of the word pertain to him and what just pertains to others. Antonio is great with the gift of gab and also appears inherently trustworthy which has helped in the collection of secrets which often come to him within confines of the confessional. If he ‘sells’ those secrets to his family and occasionally other families of power, it’s all under the guise of the greater good though it’s explicitly forbidden under Catholic doctrine.
• At eighteen, during one of his cousins baseball games Antonio jumped down from the stands and in a fit of emotional rage beat a man into a coma with a bat. Little is known as to why he did so and his family did their damnedest to cover up the incident and later the death when the victim succumbed to his injuries. The hefty paycheck involved in clearing his name is still a point of contention amongst the members of the Mortetti family.
• Predisposed to addictions due to certain personality traits, frequently this manifests as substance abuse with particular leanings towards cocaine and drink (why hello there sacramental wine!) but he’s been known to rack up quite a poker debt at many of his families casinos.

Name: Aldis Nemick
Age: 41
Family most closely affiliated with: Sinclaire
Three Fast Facts:
• Aldis always held an interest in the sciences, which led him to be something of a part time chemist, part time physicist and all around lab nerd. Graduated Suma Cum Laude from Syracuse University and transferred to the NYPD as a forensic criminologist straight out of college. Fairly successful in his work, Aldis worked many cases but after having been assigned a series of kidnapping cases and murders which still remain unsolved, he found himself saddled under the weight of what he considered his underperformance and quit.
• Still wanting to be of use he moved to Clarksville to train and later join the police force, leaving his past behind him. He enjoyed the catch and prosecute nature of day to day police work and found that petty thievery and domestic disturbance weighed less heavy on this mind when he went home.
• Has advanced staged polycystic kidney disease and has been relegated to desk duty much to his eternal chagrin. The cost and time of dialysis treatments and a languishing on the kidney transplant propelled Aldis to making a deal with the devil, offering information to the Sinclaire family about criminal factors, where to score performance enhancing drugs, where to catch the affluent in bad positions for later blackmail for a little bit of extra grease on his palm and the possibility of black market organ donation ever hanging in the balance.

Also, I edited my Moretti's profile in the OP since he is now THIRD BORN. But still the best child, obvs.

Shoot me a PM if anyone wants/needs a storyline. Have some connections, but could always use more.

Name: Rory Gallagher
Age: 27
Family most closely affiliated with: Gallagher
Three Fast Facts:
- Rory has always been pretty levelheaded. In a family of Irish Catholics, there is very little room for level-headedness and this fact kept a small, but deeply felt distance between him and the rest of the Gallagher clan. With Rick, whom Rory looked up to immensely growing up, left home feeling that his way of running the family business would be better and with Matt and Mia, their collective drama left little room for Rory to waver or get noticed.
- At 16, Rory decided to embark on a bout of rebellion. Six months later, he had been arrested for assault, theft and was a few months away from becoming a father. If he was gonna do something, he was going to do it right. Rory immediately tried to make amends for the sake of his child, but the damage was done. When his son, Liam, was born, Rory was served papers stating that the mother of his child and her family were suing for full custody. Because of his felonies, it was granted and Rory’s ability to see his son was limited to a few holidays a year. Despite the setback, Rory kept his grades up and attended Brown University.
- In true middle child fashion, he defied his father’s legacy and after graduating with a business degree, decided to go into business for himself and opened himself up an Irish pub. He wanted something separate from his father and his money and a way to prove to the courts that he should be able to have joint custody of his son, who is now 10 years old.

Name: Ford Delongpre
Age: 24
Family most closely affiliated with: Delongpre
Three Fast Facts:
- Growing up in a family of most women is hard enough. Add to that the pressure of being the only male heir in a political dynasty and you might begin to understand the difficulties of Ford’s life. Yale Law School wasn’t a choice for Ford like it was for Adrienne. It was his only option. Law school and then he would work on his father’s campaign until he was old enough to begin his own political career.
- It came to quite a shock to Ford’s father when he was found in flagrante with a male member of his high school’s teaching staff. With threats to the man’s career, he was let off the hook as long as he signed a nondisclosure agreement. Ford, on the other hand, was sent off to boarding school and intense conversion therapy and two very long years later, he enrolled in Yale Law School.
- The therapy didn’t work, but Ford missed his family, even his father, who he thinks was only doing what he thought was best for him. With family comes sacrifice, and Ford is willing to play the dutiful son. He’s a year away from graduating Law School and works closely with Liz on their father’s latest political campaign. He has had several fleeting romances with many beautiful women, but thankfully, his father’s pressures to start a family have not began, but he knows it’s only a matter of time.

Name: Whitney Jordan
Age: Twenty-five
Family most closely affiliated with: Donahue by birth through her mother
Three Fast Facts:
• California, where the sun always shone and diversity ran rapid, provided a dream life for Whitney Jordan. Rather, her parents did. Charles and Jennifer’s ocean home was full of love and excitement. They taught their daughters the importance of hard work, simultaneously encouraging them to march to the beat of their own drums. Whitney never wanted it to end. But death is no respecter of persons. Orphaned at seventeen, Whitney found herself living with an unknown grandmother. Said grandmother was rich and judgmental. The Donahue matriarch’s stuffy demeanor was the antithesis of Jennifer Jordan. Pleasantries were faked; Eden acted out enough for the both of them, but inwardly Whitney raged. She left her room for meals and Sydney only.
• Eden and Sydney’s rivalry did little to calm Whitney’s nerves. Of all things, a moronic boy was at the center. Who was right (Sydney), who was wrong (Eden), none of it mattered. Honoring their parent’s legacy should’ve come first. When Syd cried in her arms, Whitney reminded her of this. She listed her talents, dance chief among them, and inspired change…a drastic change. The Tisch School of Arts called and Sydney answered. Her plan to steal away in the dead of night wasn't concocted by Whitney, but it certainly wasn't discouraged. The middle Jordan let out a laugh, the first since her parent’s accident, when Elizabeth discovered her pet project’s ‘betrayal.’
• Whitney remained in Richmond, Virginia through high school and the year after. She phoned Sydney often, to hear about college and remember their parents (Eden rejected the latter). The calls ignited a foreign feeling. Hope. Ignoring her anger, Whitney relocated to Maine. She needed space. Elizabeth didn’t understand but, nonetheless, attempted to fund the venture. Whitney refused to absolve her guilt over Jennifer. She rejected the handout, waitressing at a tourist diner instead. What happened at that diner can never be spoken of. Whitney returned to Richmond a year after ‘it’ happened for money. She attended the University of Virginia, at her grandmother’s request, to obtain a degree in English Literature. Post-graduation, Whitney accepted a job at Macmillan Publishers in Russia. Her communication with family soon became scarce. She phoned Sydney every other month and e-mailed her grandmother sporadically. Eden, she forwent all conversation with. When Elizabeth Donahue finally had enough, she saw to Whitney’s firing. Whitney is unaware of her involvement. Presently, she is back in Richmond searching for work.

OOC: We're starting.

The setting is the Donahue mansion in Virginia, a large southern plantation home on a small man made lake. Elizabeth Donahue is throwing her annual Christmas Charity Ball, proceedings from the tickets and a singles auction to be put on later in the night all going to the The Fisher House Foundation. Several tables have been set up outside for a formal dinner of three courses, but much of the lower levels of the house have been made available for entertaining. Elizabeth has graciously paid for an open bar, a number of delicate deserts and a large chocolate fountain to dip various fruits in. Several rooms have been provided in the guest wing for any visitors wishing to stay the night (mostly extended family members and close friends). The theme is classy but rustic. And yes that is fake snow, because it's only about 50 degrees in Richmond right now.

The Donahues and Delongpres themselves would have all been delegated some sort of task to help prepare for the party. If you are a member of one of these two families and you are single, you will be expected to enter into the singles auction whether you like it or not. Other singles are obviously encouraged as well.

Elizabeth Donahue
"No, no. Not like that. The cutting end of the blade is supposed to be facing toward the charger." Elizabeth had grown weary of hiring catering staff as of late. It seemed to her these days most companies were hiring only starving artists and actors right off the street without any actual catering credentials to their names. This was the second time that evening she had to intercede in order to make sure proper table placement was being observed. The first had been when she noticed the dinner fork and the fish fork had been placed in reverse. She supposed it could have been worse. She had already turned two staff members away for looking too unprofessional. One had blue hair. The other had a gaping hole in her ear lobe that Elizabeth could have shoved the entirety of her fist through if she had a mind to do so (she didn't.) She was already planning a scathing review on Yelp. Lynette, bless her soul, had shown her the Internet was at least good for something.

"Why is this table missing all the red wine glasses?" Her sharp gaze flitted to a second staff member who glanced at the neighboring tables. It seemed to take him so long to realize each place setting had four glasses that she could not help but wonder if he did not have some sort of mental deficiency. She was beginning to wonder that about the lot of them. "Go back to the kitchen and retrieve the four red wine glasses that are missing," she whispered slowly, trying very hard not to let her exasperation show. "Lord have mercy," she whispered under her breath before glancing around to make sure none of her guests had noticed the display that just took place.

Elizabeth deeply inhaled, resisting the urge to bring her thumb and her ring finger to the bridge of her nose. She could feel a headache forming already. And her joints were hurting from being on her feet all day. And her back was sore. These days it seemed like everything hurt, though nothing so much as the sensitive skin under her right arm pit. Elizabeth suffered it all the same way she did all things in life, with a smile on her face and not a wrinkle out of place to suggest anything out of the ordinary. She would rest her tired bones at some point tonight, but now as not the time. Now was the time instead to be brave with most of her family and much of New England society in attendance. She had been roped into putting on the annual Christmas Charity Auction for the Fisher House Foundation eleven years ago and thought it no more than a chore in the beginning, but she had grown to love it over the years. It was sad to think this could be her last one.

Not willing to dwell on the realities of her mortality, Elizabeth turned her attention to the comely young man lounging casually in a nearby table vacant of any guests. "I feel like I should be paying myself," Elizabeth complained as she glanced over at Christian Jenkins, curiously absent of a pretty face on his arm. Her gaze flitted to where one of her youngest granddaughters stood tending to the bar before returning to the young man before her, her face a wrinkled mask of emotions. "I don't suppose you'd be willing to put yourself to some use and retrieve me a finger or two of whiskey?" She paused before carefully lowering herself into the seat at his right. "You'd have to make your way all the way up to the house however, I'm afraid. We had to hide all the good alcohol, what with the Sinclaire's coming," she said, the disdain plain in her tone.
TAG CHRISTIAN JENKINS

Prescott Sinclaire
"I don't think the old bat likes me." With Angelo's wife having abandoned them to go mingle with friends and family inside, it was probably easy to confuse his statement about Evelyn Moretti when in actuality he'd been referring to Elizabeth Donahue. There was no question where Evelyn's sentiments fell regarding Prescott. He already knew she hated him. His fiance's beloved grandmother was another thing all together and the extent of his suspicions stemmed from the fact that she always seemed to be wrinkling her nose like she smelled something awful whenever he entered the room. It was entirely possible she just suffered from excessive flatulence he supposed. He couldn't imagine what reason she could possibly have for not liking him. He was such a charming person after all.

"She told me in her uppity nasally voice over the phone that 'if I couldn't make it to the Christmas party, the Earth would not cease to spin.' and that they'd all find a way to carry on without me." Why that should offend him he could not say, maybe because like any spoiled attention seeking rich boy who could never quite measure up to his father's expectations, he desired to be liked and loved by everyone. Or maybe it was just the narcissist in him that could not comprehend the notion that people might generally dislike him. The latter seemed more likely.

"That was without me even prompting her in a suggestion that I wouldn't be coming, mind you." Prescott knocked the lever of glove department with his fist and retrieved a pen from inside then snatched up a discarded CD case at his feet, the one belonging to the track currently playing in the car. He twisted the cap off the pen and carefully poured the hidden contents onto the track listing before chopping the powder and crafting two narrow lines with his credit card. Hey mama, look at me, I'm on my way to the promised land. Prescott took the first hit before handing Angelo the CD case and wiping away the powdery remnants from his nose with the back of his sleeve. He leaned his head against the head rest, letting himself get swept up in the music as he waited for the drugs to kick in. He was going to need them in order to get through the evening.

He would have to find Cadence at some point tonight. She was his whole reason for being here, or so his father and his brother Phil had been keen on reminding him. Why the burden of making amends for Phil's fuck ups from nearly a decade ago should fall to him was beyond Prescott. Yet his father was determined to tie his name to the Delongpres, seeing them as his ticket to Washington. And he being their ticket to the Delongpres. Frankly, it was a wonder why Cadence even put up with him. She was either really, really stupid or else she just didn't care and sometimes he thought the latter was giving her too much credit. Unbidden, his mind went to Mia, knowing it was just as likely she would turn up as well. "Ready?" Not waiting for a response, Prescott got out of the car and pulled out his phone to type out a quick text for Mia. You haven't already fallen into a fish tank or anything, have you?
TAG ANGELO MORETTI - and also semi-tag to Mia Gallagher (sort of)

Sydney Jordan sans shades
"Don't go disappearing on me now." It was probably a good thing her cousin was running off to raid the cold wine cellar back at the house. Julian was less likely to get in trouble there. Well, he was less likely to get her in trouble there anyway. They both had their fair share of secrets. Him with his business art school and her with her present relationship status. Sydney Jordan liked to believe mutual assured destruction was enough to keep them both honorable where the other was concerned, but when alcohol involved itself Julian Donahue sometimes couldn't help himself. Sometimes he couldn't help himself even when there wasn't alcohol involved. Julian obviously derived some sort of perverse satisfaction from keeping her on edge, tirelessly chipping away at her patience until he was able to get a rise out of her. That reminded her of someone else she knew. "The house may be big, but I'll still find you," she warned as he began to inch his way backward through the crowd with a list of wine varietals they were running low on in his hand. "You can't leave me alone here with them," she mouthed desperately after him.

And then he was gone.

It was strange to think of how little had changed since the last time she had been in Richmond to visit her maternal family. The large plantation estate that had welcomed her when she was sixteen was like a living time capsule. Her room had been just as she left it the last time she had been in town over the summer, just as it had been the many summers before that, just as it had been the night she left for New York City eight years ago. Save for the usual wear and tear associated with aging, Elizabeth Donahue was unchanged as well. Her grandmother was easy to spot in the crowd, flitting about here and there, a dictator delegating tasks and terrorizing the wait staff, yet somehow dignified and glamorous with not a single hair or thread out of place. Her cousins not far, enduring Elizabeth with exhausted grace. We all have our parts to play she had been told once. And they were all playing them now, save for her two sisters who were both presently absent, but that had been a surprise to no one. The same was as true now as it had been then eight and a half years ago. Things had changed very little. Yet there existed a life outside of Richmond all the same. In that regard, much had changed for Sydney.

She tried not to look for him in the crowd, somehow thinking one look was all it would take to give them away. Sydney found him all the same though and in the brief moment their eyes locked, she smiled at him. It was a small, clandestine smile, gone as quick as it had come. After years of skirting around the issue, pretending to care less for one another than they did and finding excuses to break things off whenever things were just starting to get going between the two of them, she and Christian had finally managed to find some sort of equilibrium. She had been tired of the back and the forth, tired of the mind games. Sydney wanted him and for the first time in eight years bit the bullet and told him as much. New York had made her braver. New York had made her bolder.

But not so bold as press her luck where her grandmother was concerned. They were in a good place and Elizabeth had a knack for interjecting herself where she wasn't wanted. Sydney did not want to spoil things when they had been going as well as they had in the last couple of months. Christian had been of a different mind and perhaps she should have trusted him to know better given how long he had been acquainted with her grandmother. For whatever reason, she wasn't ready and told him as such. She told Julian as well. Between the two of them, she didn't see how their relationship could possibly go unknown for much longer. When she saw her grandmother approach Christian, she turned away immediately seeking out a bottle of wine. There was a bottle of Moscato already open on the bar and so she poured herself a glass to help settle her nerves. When she saw her cousin Lynette approaching, she gave the bottle an extra tip.

"You look nice tonight, Lynette," she greeted with cool politeness. Sydney wondered how long the pleasantries between the two of them would last. "What wonderful task has Elizabeth delegated to you this evening?"
