The Vatican [OT] #20: "Don't you people know your own ship?" – Sikozu
Okay, new thread time...
Previously on the OT thread... a discussion on how some shows have clearly jumped the shark: Case in point OUaT and PLL – middle name "wasted potential". Quote:
And I agree with you - what makes this such a *facepalm* thing is the fact that fairy tales are there to teach children a lesson. Whereas none of the character ever seems to learn a lesson at all. Oh and don't get me started on the PLL finale - it's like at least in any of the others we got some new clue or hint, now we know nothing more than we did last season I feel. __________________

Tftnt Nina.
I'm hesitating about Bae being Peter Pan, because that would mean Rumple is the father of Peter Pan...and if Rumple is really Regina's father, too then The Evil Queen is Peter Pan's half sister... any more connections and my brain is going to explode. PLL....yeah so much potential and then...nothing. Watching this season's finale was painful and I had a big questionmark over my head the whole time. |

I think they made that clear though that Rumple can't be Regina's father because of the contract: Cora would have only had to give him any child she had had with him - so Regina was clearly Henry Sr.'s. I'm exceptionally glad they did this because otherwise I agree - my brain would have exploded. It also explains Rumple's disdain towards Regina in way - because she could have been his child but isn't because Cora chose the prince and therefore power (independent from him) over him.
I think Bae as Peter would make sense insofar as in the book Peter, even though initially he seeks a mother in Wendy, is full of scorn when Wendy talks to the Lost Boys about parents, explaining how parents will let you down and abandon you. Which is obviously exactly what Rumple and Milah did to him. What disappointed me most about the PLL season finale... where to begin: So Toby is not evil now? I thought they said after the mid-season finale that he was most definitely evil and not helping the girls. Now it seems like they bend over because of the Spencer/Toby shippers after all. Otherwise, I'd still be annoyed if it turns out that Melissa is indeed evil because that's just so predictable as they fed this to us from minute one and therefore it'd be really really boring (and I don't want her to be evil). And well... being rescued from a burning building has become a theme now, I think... seems to happen at least once a season to someone. Also having a vision of Ali in the process. __________________

I agree about PLL, I even came to terms with the fact that Toby is dead and then he was back and a crying mess and Spencer sleeps with him just like that.
And I don't want Melissa to be the head of everything, too, because it would be too obvious, And Mona is on their side now? |

Mona is so bipolar... I mean first she's this evil mastermind and now she's all chipper and nice again... idek what to say about this. And as I said this whole epsiode didn't give us even a clue let alone some big reveal which was most disappointing.

I was disappointed, too and have been with other shows as well. VD for example.
But I still have hope. |

TVD is just... pretty boring this season in my opinion. Not a fan of the whole Elena the Vampire storyline.

LOL, I am just going to jump into the OUaT conversation.
I am not very familiar with the Peter Pan story, but I agree with Kat, I don't think Bae is Peter Pan, I would put him as a lost boy. Him being Henry's father AND PP is a little extra to me. Agree with Nina, very happy that Rumple isn't Regina's father because then it would have been too convoluted. I think it's past time for Belle to get some memory back, how many times can we see her in the hospital I had forgotten about Maleficent and Aurora with the curse. I really wish we could get the backstory on that, I also wish they hadn't killed off Maleficent and I wonder if we are going to see anymore "evil queens". I am glad Regina is getting back to her evil roots, I wasn't a fan of the Regina tries to redeem herself storyline. |

Hey you guys, I am back! Well for now at least. I still feel terrible but I am able to get on the computer now so that is a plus.
I see you guys talking about PLL and I agree. They promised us a lot of answers and did not deliver. We were supposed to find out who the dead body was, who killed Ali (I'm pretty sure Marlene said that but you can't trust her), who pushed Ian off the bell tower, and I think we were also supposed to find out who Jason gave that money to. The only thing we kind of found out was Ali is read coat (or is she really? we just don't know!) and that apparently Jenna, Shanna (who even cares about her? not me!), and Melissa are all working together. I think they're the ones who put the house on fire. I'm really mad that Toby is good because I feel like the writers were just pandering to the Spoby fans, and even if he is good he still traumatized her emotionally and physically. I'm still hoping that Toby is evil and that gaining Spencer's trust back is a ploy by A. I don't really think I buy Mona not knowing who red coat is especially after the scene in the season 2 finale, I don't know there is something weird going on there. __________________
