The Borgias 50k Celebrations: Three years with the Unholy family from Rome
Welcome to The Borgias 50k Celebrations Thread: Three years with the Unholy family from Rome! Welcome to our 50k Celebration Thread! It's been three amazing years we spent with the show and I have a privilege to be a co-mod to this amazing board almost an year now. Alex and I are happy to see you all posting here and making this board alive and feel it like a family. We're glad to have you here and we hope that you enjoy the show as much as we do. I'd like to thank to each and every one of you for being here and making us talking and laughing and having fun. That's the true spirit of this show and this board. Congrats again, friends! I hope to see all of you for our 100K mark again! Reasons why we love the show: __________________

Why we love this board: Why I love the board: Well... a board is nothing without its posters. I've never thought that our board will grow so fast and we're about to reach 50k. Thank you, guys! I love you all for creating our so-called Sherlock team; your dedication and making this place wonderful. BL.Arinna_1982 Why I love The Borgias board: I just recently became a moderator at Fanforum, and the thing I love most about being moderator of The Borgias board is the friendliness and humor that exists among the posters, as well as the lively discussions about the show. I previously experienced this feeling when I first came to Fanforum as a poster on the Heroes board, and I had hoped to one day find another board that would have the same atmosphere. I'm glad I found it. The characters and actors I love ~ Rodrigo Borgia/Pope Alexander VI, played by Jeremy Irons: Rodrigo is the lord of the Vatican, a true gangster with unmatched wit and cunning. Jeremy Irons does a fantastic job of making the audience unable to take their eyes off of him. Vanozza dei Cattanei, played by Joanne Whalley: Vanozza is the heart and soul of the Borgias family, and the glue that holds them all together in both good times and bad. I've had a crush on Joanne Whalley since I was a teenager, and I love the intelligence and maternal devotion to her family that she brings to her character. Cesare Borgia, played by Francois Arnaud: Cesare is the James Dean of The Borgias. He's a romantic leading man, an action hero, and a tragic, lost soul all in one. Francois Arnaud plays him to perfection, and has incredible chemistry with every member of the cast, most especially Holliday Grainger as Lucrezia. Lucrezia Borgia, played by Holliday Grainger: Lucrezia's transformation from an innocent young girl to a strong, beautiful temptress has been outstanding, and Holliday Grainger only gets better in the role with each season. The incestuous love story between Lucrezia and Cesare is unique in all of television, as Holliday and Francois make the audience want the characters to be together in spite of their sibling relationship. Giulia Farnese, played by Lotte Verbeek: Giulia is like the goddess Venus, the bringer of love, beauty, and sexuality. As Rodrigo's mistress and confidante, she shows a desire to better the lives of the people of Rome and clear the Vatican of corruption. The stunning Lotte Verbeek brings elegance, grace, and seductive sensuality to the role. Micheletto Corella, played by Sean Harris: Micheletto is like the god Mars, the bringer of death and destruction, and has probably put more dead bodies in the Tiber river than the Black Plague. As Cesare's friend and right hand man, Micheletto is an assassin without equal, yet his friendship with Cesare shows his humanity as well. Sean Harris plays him with a cold, steely menace that you can feel through the screen. Killing is his business, and business is good. Caterina Sforza, played by Gina McKee: Caterina is the femme fatale and the warrior queen of Renaissance Italy. She is the most formidable of adversaries for Pope Alexander, yet is also a passionate seductress with Cesare. Gina McKee is excellent, bringing strength and beauty to the role. Giuliano della Rovere, played by Colm Feore: Della Rovere is arch-nemesis of Rodrigo, a villain who believes he is a hero protecting the Church of Rome. I love how Colm Feore plays Della Rovere with both arrogance and humility, doing everything he can to destroy Rodrigo while realizing that he may lose his soul in the process, and that the ends may not justify his means. PhoenixRising Why I love this board: I love fanforum even with the horrible fandoms I've been part of.. I don't know why, I went to several forums before but this one is definitely the funniest one! I got spoilers and gossip for some shows, I got trolling and laughing at some others, and then I got here and there were not many people so that was different.. and the people that were here are very nice.. so it was a different type of fandom/mood.. I was always used to being against a certain amount of fans, etc... always competing and in eternal struggle.. but here everyone's nice.. the actual fandom happens to be CL fans or at least most of them.. and the ones that aren't usually don't come in and hate on us like other fandoms do.. this board is easy the nicest one I've ever been to, you feel like participating and chatting and you always have a laugh and a good time. DGSAFDMD I love this board because of all the nice people from all over the world. It feels like family. We can laugh together, have great discussions and share our excitement. Katja82 Why I love the board: Everyone here is supernice, we get to have great, witty and insightful conversations regarding the show. I get access to all the beautiful gifs, fanvids and photos of my favorite couple . I can sit and obsess about Cesare/Lucrezia and no one will think it's weird NYPoster Why I love the board:This is the most POSITIVE Borgias site I've ever seen. You guys make me so happy when so often the sites about this show are brimming with criticism and negativity. I love the community here. Sparklyhairnet But first and foremost the fandom is amazing! It's the frendliest fandom I've been in hands down. You guys are so nice and hilarious and smart, thanks to you for the fisrt time I'm glad I'm in the fandom. Can't wait for S3. sanmarinogirl I love this fandom because you guys are so friendly and there are very few fights and that's really really nice to see! obiwancannolis Icons: May: Bailey: --------------------- arts, gifs and icons: May and Bailey __________________
