Thanks for the vid, Nina! I don't watch The Tomorrow People. Who are John and Cara?
Yep, The Gifted is a pretty great TV show. One of the best comic book shows I've seen. No, Marvel isn't trying to do away with the X-Men. And they certainly aren't replacing them with Inhumans, since that show is getting terrible reviews and ratings are lousy. It'll more than likely get cancelled. The deal is that 20th Century Fox owns the film rights to all X-Men properties because Marvel sold the X-Men and Fantastic Four to Fox and Spider-Man to Sony during their bankruptcy in the 1990's. Now, Marvel made a deal with Sony to let Spider-Man in the MCU with the Avengers, but the X-Men are still squarely in their own separate universe over at Fox. Universal still has The Hulk, which is why Marvel hasn't made any more solo Hulk movies and why he only appears in other characters' movies. The only X-characters that Marvel is allowed to use are Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, whom they share with Fox, because even though they were introduced in the X-Men comics they've been featured in The Avengers comics far longer. That's why there have been two different Quicksilvers in the movies - Evan Peters in the X-Men films and Aaron Taylor Johnson in The Avengers films. The X-Men films can't make any references to their storyline in the Avengers, and as yet haven't used Scarlet Witch. The Avengers films can't use the term "mutant" or refer to them as mutants or as Magneto's children, so they were changed to bio-engineered super-humans. I'm not quite sure about who has the TV rights, but Fox is clearly developing all the TV shows like The Gifted and Legion. Now, Marvel did cancel Fantastic Four comics, probably to stick it to Fox, but also because that comic hasn't been selling well lately. It was once the flagship of Marvel Comics, but has sadly fallen from its former popularity. X-Men comics are still being published, but Marvel has forbade its writers from creating any new X-Men characters, knowing that their film rights would automatically end up being owned by Fox. __________________

Yeah, respectfully, I read something different on several blogs tbh with regard to the Inhumans franchise. But I don't care to be honest. I never liked X-Men and can't be bothered with Inhumans. I'm over superheroes. So I couldn't be less interested.
On to something better... Cara/John __________________

Thanks for the vids, Nina! Those two do look good.

I'm less enthused by superhero movies and TV shows these days myself, mostly because I'm sick of them screwing up all the time. But I'll admit that The Gifted is pretty good. I love your avatar, Arinna! __________________

You're welcome.
Still no new guilty pleasure ships. Feel like TV is getting a bit boring this season. __________________

Well, one of my ships is coming back next year. Mulder and Scully on The X-Files. Sadly, this will be for the last time because Gillian Anderson has said she's done with the show after this season.

There are some pretty good Henry/Lizzie ones out there. I'd look for Mulder/Scully but honestly the sheer volume of it is too overwhelming. I suspect it'll take some time to stumble over the truly exceptional ones if you don't know a lot of fanvidders.

Oooh, I'd love some Mulder and Scully ones, Nina. I just wish we were gonna get more Mulder and Scully after this season. I wish Gillian weren't leaving the show, which will probably end The X-Files for good.

No problem, Arinna. How are you today?
My second favourite OuaT pairing – Hatter/Belle: Even if you don't ship it, this is extremely beautiful in terms of story telling and colouring! Found you two X-Files vids that I thought are pretty good in terms of story, scenes that there used and song choices: __________________
