May - well yeah, I guess William is hard to like. But if you watch season 2 you'll see that Noora still gives him good verbal spankings even in the last episode. I gets less douche-y with time I guess. I really have to catch up on all the other Skams. Especially Skam Italia though but also the French and German version. So it's Eleonora who defends Eva against the equivalent of Ingrid and not Sana?

Yeah you know I don't care much for Grey's at all but April/Jackson were very very cute. That was my only reason for watching.

I'm really glad FOX renewed 'Star' ... I'm not sure why a lot of people seem to have such a hard time getting into it. I mean if we're honest there is nothing to ship there really but I enjoy the show as it is. Conversely so many people seem to like 'Empire' and I think it's rubbish, idek.

I gave up on 'Lucifer' early on. Couldn't stand the idea of a Lucifer and Chloe hook-up.

Yeah and I get it – I think one thing 'The Originals' suffered from often, especially in the beginning was that we didn't get enough of the whole family tbh. I could have cared less about Marcel and Davina and Cami and whatnot.

I have to admit that Lucifer began to bore me after a while, Nina. I know Arinna is gonna be upset by its cancellation. I just hope Gotham gets renewed because we're supposed to start watching that soon.

I tried watching Empire but I gave up on it after two seasons.

That's the thing about both 'Lucifer' and 'Empire' – I liked single characters but not really the relationships or what the show was about. I mean I didn't mind Lucifer and I really liked Maze but the rest was meh, and I liked Cookie or rather I really love Taraji P. Henson tbh but the rest was just stupid. Whereas 'Star' has a lot of likeable characters, plus I've always loved girl groups... maybe more the pop than the r'n b variety but still. I think it's sadly a really underappreciated series compared to 'Empire'...

Yeah, I looked and it seems like they are cancelling shows left and right this season but so far nothing I'm sad about.

Ah... ETA: Riverdale – Falice so needs to happen. Loved Alice exalting FP's prowess to Hal. I think the make-up person did a good job on her lately. She looks so much younger than in season 1 where I thought her make-up was deplorable, espeically after seeing her on Twin Peaks again.

Also Skeet and Mädchen are beyond adorable. Love that they are stanning Falice so hard. Something has to happen sooner than later though I'm so nervous about the arrival of Jellybean and Gladys next season. Did they make a casting choice yet. If not who did we say, we'd like to see as Gladys again, Alex?

I'm starting to feel a bit bad for Penelope... yes she's bloody awful in many ways but she sure knows how to pick them... first Clifford, then Hal.
If I haven't said it before, I love Betty and Cheryl sleuthing together. They make a great team. So much more fun to watch than Betty and Jughead imo.
Guess André wasn't an FBI agent after all the way Small Fry killed him. Oh well, Hermione shot the guy. Small blessings.

Yeah, FOX's Lucifer and CBS' Scorpion have both been cancelled, so no more Scorpion watches for us on the Elyes thread. And no, NBC hasn't said anything about Timeless yet.

I'm hoping that Gotham gets renewed, but FOX hasn't announced a decision yet. I've heard that FOX is cancelling shows left and right because of fing Thursday Night Football. They'd better not cancel Gotham when Arinna and I are just about to start watching.

I haven't seen this week's Riverdale yet, Nina. I'm hoping for more Falice next season, but I don't know how much we're gonna get before this season ends. Next week is the season finale. And I don't have an opinion on Gladys yet. I can't even think of an 80's-90's actress to play her. Fairuza Balk?

Then it really comes as a surprise that they renewed 'Star'... I mean I never looked at viewing numbers but whenever I bring it up to people, even people who watch and love 'Empire' they don't care because "too many girls" or something. Meanwhile it's actually really good. I can only recommend it. That being said, I really doubt they'll cancel 'Gotham'. The whole superhero stuff isn't dead yet.

Haha... Fairuza Balk... nice "The Craft" connection there but I always thought she had an oddly high voice at times perhaps because I mainly remember her lingerie scene from 'Valmont'. I think we debated Meredith Salenger at one point. Maybe Jenna Leigh Green from the original "Sabrina The Teenage Witch", that'd be fun irony.

Yeah, you have a point. FOX hasn't cancelled Star or Empire, so hopefully Gotham will stay as well. I think I heard they're waiting to make a decision on Lethal Weapon and that could affect Gotham, although I don't know why. I do hope the superhero trend will keep Gotham on the air.

Yeah, I just thought of Fairuza Balk when you mentioned Gladys. And I remember Valmont. It was an interesting alternate take on Dangerous Liaisons. Oh, yeah... Meredith Salinger was beautiful. I don't remember the one from Sabrina, though. It would be ironic.

Jenna Leigh Green played Libby Chessler, Sabrina's high school nemesis. She was guest starring on 'Quantico' in autumn and also went on tour with 'Wicked', the musical. If you scroll down that article "where are they today?" there are pictures from her instagram what she looks like now. She may be a good fit plus I love the 'Sabrina' connection... it is ironic.

I'm not sure what 'Lethal Weapon' has to do with anything... maybe it's a question of how much it costs to produce the respective shows? Especially if they have to buy rights to broadcast football games. I mean 'Gotham' looks expensive. Then again, I maintain that the superhero hype is not over yet and it's a decent show that is overall well received I think so I have trouble believing they'll cancel it.

Also season finale for The Arrangement and The Royals. I think the latter will get cancelled for sure after all they had to fire the showrunner for sexual misconduct, apparently he molested Alexandra Park amongst others.

ETA: Lethal Weapon got a third season.

OMG, you really think the Royals will get cancelled for that, Nina? There hasn't been any word yet, has there? And he did that to Alexandra?

Well, Lethal Weapon and Gotham are both Warner Bros. productions, so Fox doesn't really own either of them. The network has said that Lethal Weapon was a "priority" for some reason, and they've just hired a replacement actor to play Martin Riggs. But that doesn't mean that Gotham is cancelled because Fox still hasn't announced a decision yet. I guess we'll know by this week.

Yeah, we still don't know about Timeless either.

He did. It was all over twitter I think, and then all the OTH actresses came forward.

So they re-cast a role? Or did that character not appear yet?

OMG, that's awful. I hope the show doesn't have to get cancelled because of that.

The replaced the actor who played Martin Riggs, Clayne Crawford. There were on-set problems with his behavior, and Damon Wayans wouldn't even talk to the guy anymore. Sean William Scott was hired to replace him as Riggs. I honestly don't think the show will survive the recasting, though. They should just renew Gotham because I'm willing to bet that Lethal Weapon's ratings tank in season 3.

Yeah, I mean it'd suck for everyone involved and I really like Alexandra (another person with great style). I really dislike Elizabeth Hurley though tbh, previously it was mainly because of her elitist politics but now I'm a bit like... she apparently went on sent and exchanged lewd jokes with Mark Schwahn but then in her statement when Alexandra came forward and all the OTH actresses came forward about his sexual misconduct, she said she never saw a thing and something like how she wished she had protected Alexandra better or something. And I don't know, it didn't sound honest with me to tell you the truth. I also wonder if that was the reason why Merritt Patterson, the actress who played Ophelia in season 1, left the show. I mean she did a Lifetime movie and had a guest appearance on that show 'Motive', you remember the Canadian crime drama where we watched the episode where Mark Ryder ('Borgia' Cesare) guest starred. But really not much else after. And I mean if we are honest then it seems like Katheryn always looked a lot like Ophelia... idek, it seemed like they had something different planned at some point.

Yeah, re-castings are so Daytime Soap Opera... that never works. They should have just killed the character and made up another one and brought in the new actor or something... though I guess then it's no longer really Lethal Weapon.

Watching Skam Italia now after I'm all caught up on Skam France!
