Well, my baseball team, the Philadelphia Phillies are in first place in the National League East.
I've been on vacation this week, and the weather has been good. Very warm and sunny. But it's raining now. Good news is that it's gonna be sunny the rest of the week. I hope the weather has been good up there in New York, Nina. You're gonna get the same rain we're getting here, but it's gonna be good the rest of the week. __________________

I'm glad the heat was a bit less after the rain. It's honestly no fun almost standing in the glaring sun collecting data all day. So yeah... let's talk about something else though.

Well, I just finished the first four seasons of Gotham and now I'm ready for the fifth and final season next year. And I'm in the process of saving up money to get out of here now that I'm totally out of debt. __________________

Well it's also pretty humid and when it's 32°C and you can basically feel the moisture because the air is so heavy and the sun is burning down on you. It's no fun.
Oh great, so you're off to California? Like in the title song of The OC? __________________

Hi, May! It's okay, I understand you're busy. I'm doing okay. I hope you're doing well.

Oh, the humidity on the east coast is pretty bad. I've dealt with humidity my entire life living here in Pennsylvania. Funny you should mention California because it's a lot dryer out there so the head isn't as bad. I'd love to live in California because I loved San Diego when I was there for Comic Con. But I don't think I could afford it. I'm just saving up right now so I can eventually go... somewhere. I just can't stay here anymore. __________________

Well, what you can afford also depends on your new job there, so I wouldn't rule it out just yet.
The humidity is really weighing me down... field work in New Mexico was easier tbh though I really wasn't keen on the constant snake lookout etc. There are always draw backs. Though New York has a native timber rattlesnake too... haven't seen one yet but apparently we are tracking them. Yeah, see I can't contribute at your other boards so you'll just have to find me here I'm afraid. Sorry. __________________

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Nina. I really hope I can get something that pays better eventually, and I really don't wanna work in retail anymore.
I'm sorry, Nina. I stepped out to get dinner and I just got back. And it's okay, I don't expect you to post on my other boards. I just mentioned that so you could find me if I wasn't on this board and just nudge me or something so I come back here. Wow, snakes? You had to deal with that? I forgot that you worked in New Mexico. But you are right that the heat over there is easier to handle because of the drier climate. __________________

Yeah, I'm mostly confined to Northeastern U.S. at the moment. In the past I have worked in fourteen different States. I'm really not keen on wildlife which makes my current job so ironic. I don't care for snakes. Though I have to say – those past few nights I couldn't sleep, I was watching some stupid show "Extinct or Alive" with this milktoast... some show off cool kid in his twenties who got to travel around the globe in search of extinct animals. So I went to his website to check out his credentials, Forrest Galante, he calls himself a biologist and says he has a degree but he doesn't say what kind. Could be a B.A. from some correspondence course for all I know. Anyway... the thing is, every bloody episode he touches some dangerous snake who actually just wanted to be left alone somewhere... like that Taipan that was just napping in a cave, or that Boa that was sleeping in a tree – he has to come and rip them out of their environment. I'm like... I honestly don't like snakes but that's the one instance I'm totally rooting for the snake to bite him and get away. I mean seriously...
Look, I think we are all old enough now to know that it's not really true that you can do everything if you only want it enough but I still think that we probably shouldn't underestimate our own worth and set the barre too low. It's like Sikozu said: "I think curious always deserves rewards." – We won't keep moving forward if we always wait for one more thing to happen first. Of course we need to find some sort of balance between what's an acceptable risk, I guess. So yeah sure, why wouldn't I have confidence in you. Quote:
