Well, "back then" could refer to different periods, considering the Arthurian legends were started in one period but were later portrayed with the culture of a later period. Not to mention the show has zero historical authenticity. But I don't see Kay as being a candidate. No royal blood.

Oh yeah there's that, no royal blood. I just assumed it'd be him because being the right hand seems like a vice-president sort of thing.

I have no doubt Morgan would seize the crown if Arthur was away for any length of time. Kay doesn't seem the type to want power for himself.

That would be Morgan's style.

Not to mention she's pregnant with his child so that would make it even easier.

What we need in Season 2 is Talisa. Peferably hooked up wth Gawain.
