There were probably very few Vikings who didn't rape women. There's no point in watching a Vikings show and hating every rapist. You have to adopt a different morality from modern morality when watching a show like that. Everybody back then was horrible by our standards. None of them would have lived up to our morality. When watching a Vikings show, it's appropriate to assume that every adult male character on the show has raped at least one woman at some point in their past. What is horrrible to us was normal to them.
Naming the character Rollo was a bit stupid. That was not a Scandinavian name, just a Latinization of the Scandinavian name Hrolfr, which is nowadays called Rolf. The famous Rollo was a Viking whose real name was Hrolfr and who was not the brother of Ragnar Lodbrok. He was of a later generation than Ragnar. He became ruler of Normandy (in northwestern France) and ancestor of William the Conqueror, the Norman duke who made himself king of England and started the present line of English monarchs. __________________
