We currently have two open moderator positions on this message board. If you become a moderator here, you'll be joining a great community who'll provide you a support network and add to the fun of being a moderator. If you'd like to apply for this position and if you have any questions about the requirements, please go to the Moderator Application Process - How to Apply & Questions Answered thread and follow the instructions to apply to be a moderator on this board.

Please note that the deadline to get applications in is 6:00 PM GMT on June 20th. If you don't receive a confirmation Private Message within 24 hours after you have emailed your application, please send a Private Message to Cátia.

Please note the following: If no qualified candidates apply to moderate this board, it will be closed. Every board here needs permanent moderators, and we can't have Moderator Support Team Members moderating any board indefinitely. Therefore, if no qualified candidates apply to moderate this board by the application deadline date, a closure notice will be posted on the board the Sunday following the application deadline date, and the board will be closed one week from when the closure notice is posted.

If the people that post on this board want it to remain here, then someone needs to step up and apply to moderate it.

since the show is over now and this board is known to be not busy in non airing times, i think the board would close sooner or later anyways

we have many places to talk about GOT still.

i admit, with my utter disappointment of this show i don't mind this board closing. i am thinking about stopping to post here anyways. this has nothing to do with you guys, you are great. it's just difficult for me these days.

this is just my opinion. if someone wants to mod this board, go ahead.

Oh no, I kinda knew this was coming with the end of GOT. I’ll miss this board I modded it when it first opened

Hopefully someone applies!? Cause there some great posters here.. and there are prequel series so if you can hold steady till they come out, that would surely keep the board active.

With the show ending and RL being very busy (also I'm not that interested in the prequels so far) I think it's best to step down and see if someone wants to take over the board

That would be nice, but even if it closes we can still have a thread for it in the tv show and spoiler boards.

tv board, spoiler board or there could also be a new board for the prequels. there are many options.

Omg Si I know I've never been a constant poster here, but I've been dropping in & out for six years now...

I want to thank you for all the good work you did here, I remember there was also another moderator years ago, but it's a couple of years you were alone...and you really did a good job.

I've never written anything else in other boards about GoT.

I wish I could apply and be a moderator, with both the prequels and the books I think there could be a lot more to say...But I do not have the time in real life to actually keep such role.

I understand the decision of a possible closure. When PLL ended, the conversations ended. People were fed up with the show.

Who knows how the prequels will go and when. Who knows when the next book will be out. But if someone wants to keep it going here, apply! Otherwise, there's places to talk. Emilia and Kit have boards. TV is good for the show and prequels. The Books board is good for the books. Celebrities board- you can talk about characters in the actor threads.

Like every one has said, there are other places on FanForum to discuss the various ongoings of the show. And even if the board closes, and can always be opened again in the future. It's happened before. Especially if the prequels take off.

But I did love posting here, and I'm incredibly grateful to Si, for providing place a place for me to discuss the GoT/ASOIAF universe for the past couple of years. And of course, all the former mods as well.

It's sad that the board maybe closing. All the boards that I like are getting closed...

I posted for the first time here in 2014, I think, but never was very active because it always terrified me how popular the show is and consequently the board is/was. And I have my very own opinions about things and they're usually very different from most of the people...

I hope someone applies because I'd like the board to stay open. But it's understandable if the board closes because it looks like most of the people who post here didn't like how the show ended. And the show is over and we have no idea when the books will be released.

I'm not too fond of general boards. Because they're, well, generic. I like that here we have threads for all the characters/actors. I bet no one likes Cersei at the general discussion board.

I had started watching the show and after they extended past the source material you could tell the show was in trouble, still sad it’ll only be remembered for the ending which you hear being talked about daily
