Welcome to the 1st Captain Gates thread     Some infos about Penny Johnson Born March 14 1961 she played on Castle, Bones, Navy CIS, October Road, Law & Order, 24, Star Trek, ER, The x-Files and a lot of other TV shows and movies.  she doesn't seem that bad actually  Iron Gates is funny  i also crack up everytime they call her 'sir' she's very strict now but i have a feeling she'll get there.__________________

She reminds me of every time a new ADA came along on L&O:SUV. Tough for a while but with a good heart and eventually she warms up to the team. |

I like Captain Gates. Sure she is a hardass, but has that wit about her as evident whenever any of the guys called her sir.
I would love to learn more about her, which hopefully will happen in the upcoming episodes.__________________

I think that Castle and Captain Gates is going to be a lot of fun to watch with him trying to get under her skin as much as possible. I can already see Castle calling Captain Gates maam just to irritate her.

I already like "Iron Gates", majority of her scenes in "Rise" made me laugh. It's funny to see Esposito and especially Ryan totally paranoid around her And Penny Johnson is really good, I liked her in "24", so it's great to see her on "Castle". |

I personally can't stand her!!
YET. I get the feeling she's gonna come around though once she sees how awesome Beckett and Castle are together. And if she doesn't, well, he can always call the mayor again.  __________________

I think that bringing a character like Gates to the precinct was a great idea.
There's going to be lots of conflict and it's going to make things very very interesting, I'm sure. I can't wait for her to start noticing the sexual tension between Castle and Beckett. If she hasn't already OMG, when the mayor hung up on her it totally cracked me up . And I can't believe how afraid Ryan and Esposito are when she's around. Ryan is freakin' paranoid .I still think Gates is a bitch though.  __________________
