I loved the little moments!
- the Lanie/Beckett girl talk
-Gates telling Beckett she gave her a glowing reference
- and the Esposito/Ryan talk about Jenny's pregnancy. love that bromance!!

Great job guessing everyone! Most of us die hard fans knew a ring or proposal was in the equation... I just didn't think it was so out in the open...

I gotta say though, Castle's approach was pretty insincere from an expression standpoint. I know he means it deep down, but boy the tone and facial expression was "this is how I'm gonna fix it and keep you"... and that's not a good way to propose IMHO... why the hell do guys always wanna fix things when it's not time to fix but to examine!!!

but hey! It's great conflict and complexity. Now we have the entire summer to discuss what the heck her answer is... which clearly will take the entire season to answer of course...

Also I love how there was a parallel when the parents Jim Beckett/Martha tells Kate/Rick "look Katie/Richard, I know you" scenes... it was a great reveal to the audience what they both won't say but how they both typically behave.

Honestly this is why this show keeps getting more and more viewers...the writing is fantastic and the cliffhangers are awesome...Well done by everybody involved...You couldn't ask for a better ending to this season. Maybe some will disagree but I'm glad we don't know if she took the job or if she said yes to his proposal...You can bet I'm not missing season 6 to see how this all plays out.

What I don't get is why Castle can't move to DC?

Yes I know there is Alexis to think about but she's off to the jungle and in college so there is nothing really holding them back from moving and still being together. Now back to the show we all know this won't happen because the show is more than the 2 of them, NYC is a big part of it as is the rest of the supporting cast.

I know why Castle proposed but I don't know if it's a smart move, they're not ready for this as now Beckett has a harder choice to make. I assume the writers have already worked out how to get out of this so my ep 2 next season we're back to normal... At least this time no one ended up being shot :P
