Here at home we usually exchange gifts at midnight after the whole Xmas Eve dinner. When I was little I could never really wait till the morning.. and mom never made us believe in Santa so we didn't have the magic She would take us to the toy store and let us pick everything we wanted

Yeah, I liked that Never had a Xmas present that I didn't like
But now that I'm an adult, I do think that kids should believe in Santa... it's so magical. __________________

:lol; Yeah, can't complain.
Exactly!! I think it's great to have kids believing in little bit of magic while they're all innocent like that __________________

Ohh I think I've pretended to like gifts I won too... it's polite, afterall the person did take time to buy us something (even if we ended up hating it)
Ohh I always want Christmas.. the presents, the food, the company __________________

I agree on you guys about Santa, it's magical..
Here in The Netherlands we celebrate Sinterklaas, early in December. Children believe in him too, like Santa. Unfortunately the last few years there is a group of people ruining it, by complaining about his helper, called "Zwarte Piet". Traditionally the guy is black, because he comes down the chimney to deliver the presents, but those people associate him with slavery. __________________

That's interesting.
Ultimately though Christmas was just a holiday that borrowed things from other beliefs and religions. It even "borrowed" stuff from Pagan holidays. I celebrate Christmas because it's a family thing but I don't believe in the significance of it. As it was during dinner yesterday my uncle wanted to say grace before we ate and that made me feel uncomfortable. __________________
