no Josh didn't do anything it really was all CGI. he said they put him this dots all over his body and face.
losing that much weight would've been dangerous for him |

Yeah that would've been super unhealthy if he had to get that small in real life...it also wouldn't have worked, since they were filming both movies back to back and he would've had to put weight back on way too quickly.

I've heard some people heard audience members laughing during that scene? That makes no sense to me...but I've seen it 3 times and I didn't hear any of that. If anything, people were shocked into dead silence.

I knew it was coming and I still jumped in shock. The theater was dead silent after that scene till after the credits started rolling. I think we were all just so shocked, we couldn't react.
I don't know about people laughing because there's nothing funny about that scene. As much as it is possible to laugh when shocked, I think that only applies with real life situations, something covered in the five stages of grief. |

I'm one of those. I heard people laughing during that scene and when Boggs hit Peeta.
I wasn't the only one annoyed with those people though. Other people beside me were complaining because those people behind us wouldn't shut up. They're talkers during the movie. __________________

Josh should get an Oscar nomination for this movie. His transformation of captured Peeta was so beautiful and haunting. And he did it so seamlessly, it just flowed evenly into a tragic decline of health in body and soul for Peeta.
The scene where he sees the video of Katniss and Peeta breaks free for just enough time to warn them was heartbreaking to watch. Peeta looked so broken and fragile. But strong and determine too. I'm always amazed by Peeta's inner strength and how deep his love for Katniss is. __________________

Agreed. It didn't matter that he had limited screen time, because from start to finish, this was definitely Peeta's movie.

Didn't Judi Dench get an Oscar one year for only a few seconds of screentime? It could happen to Josh, though unlikely since it's a YA film.
