^ True. A lot of my KC appreciation came from reading meta and fanfic. Caroline's POV regarding Klaus was ambiguous for the most part.

Yeah I think it was more the audience trying to interpret looks that Caroline gave Klaus than anything else. I think they became this huge thing because the fans loved the idea of them. They basically created this fantastical world with them, but in no way is it canon.

See the idea of them was amazing, and had it had a good execution, it would have been even better. The problem is that Klaroline happened accidentally. Maybe the fandom was bored with the triangle of doom, but everyone wanted to see something new, and Klaroline was fresh and their chemistry was off the charts. So everyone latched on to it. But sadly, the writers were either too pussy to go there or just failed to improvise. So we just got Klaus's stalking and Caroline's confusion as a result of the half-hearted fan service.

But I dare say even what we did get, bar the sexing up, it wasn't half bad either. Joesph and Candice were brilliant in all their scenes together, they sold it so beautifully that there was no doubt in anyone's mind that they would happen eventually( and no, this wasn't DE level of delusion). Klaroline were at the end of the day, a slow burn couple. If TO hadn't been picked up, we would have seen Caroline reciprocate with more than just looks eventually.

That gifset. If only the gifsets were truly how Klaroline were/are. Gifsets are constant reminders of how amazing Klaroline truly could have been had they had better writers writing them

Yeah I could definitely see them finally happen if TO never did. Maybe if, by some miracle/nightmare, TO continues after TVD ends Candice will still want to play Caroline and get shipped off and klaroline could finally happen . I would rather that not happen and maybe in the series finale we get a hint at like a blond head on his front porch a century later or something . I just don't trust the writers to do what they should with them. I may not ship them, but I think they have great chmistry and, if given a chance and half decent material I could see myself liking them more and more.

I would rather for that not to happen either. I want both shows to end at the same time and I want Candice to move on, I don't trust the writers not to ruin my OTP, they are already doing a crappy job at not ruining my favorite characters, so it's better to leave it alone at this point. I don't want my memory of Klaroline tainted by horrible writing. I would be very content if we got a subtle and/or ambiguous Klaroline endgame scene.

Honestly I think them having it be a subtle nod to them as endgame would be their best bet.

I can't speak for others, but I liked it because of it's emotional depth. I think this is the first time we've ever seen Klaus drop his creepy revenge fantasies for someone. It proved that it wasn't just a passing fantasy and he was in for the longer run. This was also the first time Caroline welcomed his advances and didn't pretend to hate him. Idk, it just felt more real, genuine, and beautiful. It was the perfect ending for Klaroline. Klaroline sexy times were just fanservice to get the fans to stfu. and the worst part is, it wasn't even sexy, it looked stupid!

Ugh I don't want Caroline in TO. I'm fine with an ambiguous ending, like Klaus and Caroline bumping into each other on a busy street and smiling and stuff. That's my ideal endgame for them. But even if that doesn't happen, I am ready for Caroline to move on. If she moves on with someone who is not an oblivious douchenozzle like Stefan, I'd even cheer for it( secretly hoping its Enzo).

Enzo is a bigger douche atm and pretty much a plot device. I don't like the idea of Caroline ending up with a plot device with inconsistencies in his actions. Enzo is kinda crazy and would probably end up killing any guy that so much as looked at her. He's too psychotic for my liking.

Stefan is too much of an ass right now. Though I'm more mad at the writers for using Liz's illness to push steroline. That's what really bothers me.

Pretty much. Except the looked stupid part, I still quite like that scene, I just think it was too rushed.

Nope. My Carebear deserves better than settling for Frozen Pizza.

I will only be happy with her endgame is it's either Klaroline or single. Same for Klaus. I detest all of their potential love interests at the moment, so it's together or not at all.

I have mixed feelings for that scene. Because a Klarohookup was my ultimate fantasy, I could never completely hate it. I just felt the way it was written was a little bit silly. I loathe that vampire speedy thing they do, it makes everything look cartoonish instead of sexy. Plus I couldn't get past what a sad case of fanservice it was, esp after Plec ruined it with her interviews

Like I said in the other thread, I only want Carenzo on a purely sexual chemistry basis. They look hot and I haven't found any of their scenes stupid. yet. So I wouldn't mind if they ended up together. I still it would be stupid of the writers not to have them kiss at least.
