I thought that it could have something happen between the two of them based on season 5 but this season they haven't really interacted lately, so it seems like the writers are focusing in her relationship with Stefan

Ever since their first scenes together I suspected that Enzo would be the Steroline voice for the audience because most of their interaction was Stefan/Steroline related. But I still thought they could become friends/allies and didn't expect Enzo to become so isolated from the MF gang.

With Damon being redeemed and the absence of The Originals the job of trouble maker fell on Enzo's shoulders. The problem is they chose the most ridiculous reason for the vendetta.
I don't get why they couldn't just let Enzo's issues revolve around Damon. He has legitimate reasons to have those issues. Enzo is a victim of Damon who actually isn't afraid to speak out. It would have been more interesting if Damon's redemption came from him realizing how terrible he was to Enzo instead of epic DE. Enzo could have thrown some much needed truth bombs on Damon. Quote:

I think Damon really deserves some truth bombs by Enzo in Elena's presence.
It is sad that these two aren't getting much screen time.  |
