Welcome to the James Ascher (All the Wrong Reasons) Appreciation Thread #1   INFORMATION Cory's Role: James Ascher Filmed: Halifax, Canada Release Date: TBA Genre: Drama Length: 95 minutes Writer/Director: Gia Milani Co-Stars: Karine Vanasse ; Kevin Zegers ; Emily Hampshire Logline: The film is about choices made in the aftermath of severe traumatic stress. The story hinges on two lives that intersect in a big box department store: a woman who has witnessed her sister’s suicide and a firefighter who was hurt on the job. She endeavors to keep her comfort zone intact while he strives to regain his former life. Movie Synopsis: All the Wrong Reasons is an ensemble film that keeps to the confines of the Fairfax Department store, a big box rival to Target and Wal-Mart. Inside is Kate Collins, a security officer. Kate’s a survivor, but she isn’t surviving very well. Posttraumatic stress disorder took a toll on her personal and professional life. Kate’s husband, James, the store’s manager, isn’t sure Kate is going to recover. Missing intimacy, James has an affair with Nicole, another employee, who is holding onto what’s left of her youth. When Simon, an upbeat Christmas temp, gets hired in the security department, Kate re-evaluates how she copes with her trauma. Simon is a recent amputee who is determined to get back to what he loves: firefighting. Simon’s influence sets off a chain of events that changes the entire store... for all the wrong reasons. So far, there's nothing to hear about so I don't know how we'll discuss that but in case, this thread can turn into appreciation when movie gets out.

Yeah that's what will happen, we did that with MC. There's a lot. They're shooting now. His co-star tweeted that she felt lucky to play his husband

I think it's good to have S&S threads then make them become an appreciation thread. I mean there's so much we could have posted before for Sis&Bro, updates, awards, TIFF pictures, but we didn't open it till late. I wanted to get these threads started up early so we can keep up with updates on here.
And there's a lot coming out for this film right now since they're filming  Apparently the director tweets like crazy  |

Yeah
I'm excited because it won this big script award that had over 2,500 submissions so it must be a really good plot and script! So much potential for Cory's acting to shine. |
