It's based on a series of survival horror games, but the movies have a few changes. The main character was never on any game, for example. But the movies are still very true to the games, though. I don't think Boris' character was ever on a game either.

They are great, if you don't mind a little gore and zombies

. I'm not a fan of horror and gore, but the games are just awesome, and so are the movies.
