At the store I work the Christmas decorations go up right before Halloween.
I'd hate that

I don't put up a Christmas tree anymore, just a small fake one on a table.
My tree is fake too, but it's not so small (although not GIANT, we don't have enough space for it). Under the tree we put the Nativity scene.

The 2 months' commercialization beforehand sort of takes the Spirit out of me.
Ilike only doing the tree but we don't put decorations everywhere, we're not fan of that...my family is more like: oh it's Christmas, we have to make the tree. We do the minimum

My family always have a fake tree because my Mum doesn't like getting pine needles on the carpet

Fake trees lose pine needles too they're not always the best quality. I know that a lot of people love Christmas - like they're super obsessed - and the decorations, but I'll never understand why make a GIANT tree (fake or real) if it's just for one month or less!

My english teacher last year told me that for example in England people make the tree later than here (we do it on December 8th) and take it off way after the Epiphany. So longer than us here. Maybe that can be a reason?

Most people put up their Christmas trees right before Thanksgiving, in November, and they usually don't take them down until after New Year's Day in January. In the USA, Thanksgiving is pretty much the warm-up for Christmas.

Yeah in England a lot of people seem to leave their trees out pretty late. It's kind of weird to see Xmas trees coming out late in December, and then spending more time out in January

November is so soon Here we put it up on December 8th and take down January 6th. Here we say that "The Epiphany takes away all the holidays"

Although people often keep eating Christmas pastries until almost Easter

Nahh, here people get in the Christmas spirit right before Thanksgiving. The stores are filled with Christmas decorations and selling fake trees, and Christmas music is playing everywhere. And all before anyone has even had their Thanksgiving turkey.

Most people take down their trees after New Year's Day, unless they're really lazy and they keep them up until Valentine's Day.

Wow, did you hear about Lifetime Network doing a remake of Flowers In The Attic? Only this one is gonna be faithful to the novel, including the love story between siblings Chris and Cathy.

And I went absolutely crazy over Tom Baker's return to Doctor Who in the 50th anniversary episode!

I don't know Flowers in the Attic even if they translated in my language, already. I read there's already a movie. Do you like it?

Oh Dr. Who, I had my Twitter timeline FULL of fans I don't watch it.

I don't like very much scy-fi shows I keep watching Chuck on tv, though next Wednesday there are the last two episodes of S2. I think S3 will follow.

Oh, it must be difficult for you to avoid spoilers

True, it's probably not such a good thing when shows have big twists, but I've always been terrible for reading the last page of a book first and wanting to know how things end
