Well, if you watch the show from the beginning it's clear early on that the entire story is about Ted and Robin, so it's not really spoiling anything. I think a lot of fans got upset because they took the title at face value and forgot about the writers' penchant for misdirection and twist endings.
And the fact that Lyndsy played Ted's daughter and was totally shipping Ted with Robin just seemed ironic.  She ended up in the Alex/Owen ship that totally surprised a lot of Nikita fans.__________________
