Webmasters - Sound Problems

I hope there isn't already a thread for this.

My mother did something to the computer and now I have no sound. ><

When I try to open Windows Movie Maker it says 'Windows Movie Maker cannot be used because the required audio hardware cannot be found on your computer.'

If that helps any..

Hopefully someone can help me because i'm going crazy without my music. xD

Under control panel > sounds is everything working properly, hardware installed correctly?

also make sure theres not a ? or an ! by the sound card and that it's enabled.

hmmm... and i assume you had sound before. do you have a driver disc that came w/ the pc?
