Most of the LJ layouts are based on a CSS code so you have to be very familiar with it...

There are two types of layouts on LJ: S1 (for those who know CSS & HTML very well) & S2 (for those who make minor alternations to their layouts). I'd suggest doing some research about it and altering some existing layouts until you get into it.

For an example, in S2 layouts, if you want to add a banner, you type this code into your Custom CSS tab in Manage --> Customizations --> Custom Options:

.headerimage {
position: center;
width: *enter the banner width* px;
height: *enter the banner height* px;
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
background-image: url("your image URL goes here");
background-repeat: no-repeat;
}

But like the poster above me said, you're more likely to get better help in one of the LJ layouts communities.

I'm trying to put up a new moodtheme, but I'm having some issues. I've uploaded all the pictures to photobucket and followed everything that I was told to do by the maker of the moodtheme, but it still won't show up - the images I mean.

Does anyone know of a tutorial to help with this?

Is it possible to have pages within pages of livejournal? Like if I wanted a page for wallpapers i make, or a page for a tutorial?

I have another question. The template I have for my LJ had is so that my entries were all centered but I just changed it to be aligned to the left. Problem is, it is making my text too close to the edge of the boxes that hold the text. Does anyone know where in the css sheet I need to change it? I tried playing around with cell padding, indents but it would not change it. the farthest I got was indenting the first line. Any tips?

Wonder if anyone can help me

I'm on S2 and I have changed the colour on my LJ. My comments page used to be the same style, colour etc when you log onto LJ, e.g white background etc, but now since I change the colour my comments page is the same as my main journal page. Is there anyway I can change it?
