Hello -- I'm getting very aggravated, because this annoying message keeps popping up on the bottom of my screen every couple of minutes. It all started last night when I downloaded some type of media viewer, and I've even removed that program from my system since then, and restarted my computer, and this message still comes up: "This system has detected a number of active spyware applications that may impact the performance of this computer. Click the icon to get rid of unwanted spyware...."

What should I do? It's very annoying. Thanks

if you have system restore on, then roll back to before you installed the program.

One thing not to do is actually click on that crappy message. You'll only get more spyware.

Get Adware and Spybot search and destroy to scan your PC. Make sure you update both of them after installing them. If those messages come back after cleaning everything with both, then we'll look into deeper cleaning

yeah, clicking on the message will make it far worse. those are also the best progs i know of to fix that stuff.
