HAPPY H50 DAY EVERYONE!
I am always so excited for an episode after a huge period of waiting and this Monday would have been perfect if Alex was on this episode. __________________

Yes I know but it won`t be enough.I think it will be strange is he is missing and when he is missing at all.But I hope that the show will pill hiss gap one way or another with a good episode.
But it is good we will get to see him even only briefly. __________________

We hear Steve's voice and see him very briefly.
Otherwise very forgettable episode. It just lacked energy and I found the performances very lacklustre. H50 is not the same without Steve/Alex and this episode didn't hold my interest.. |

Watch it but will never watch it again
very forgettable episode! I'm not Max biggest fan so I was prepared for a boring episode and was I right! For me, watching this episode was as if it had lost all his energy and his action's now that Steve/Alex had to leave the show for a while, even Scott/Danny acting was off he is so much better when he is around Steve/Alex. H50 is not the same without Steve/Alex I was so looking forward to the cross-over even when I heard that Alex would not be in it but now I wished they already where over I want McG back as leader of Five-O. Is it May yet!! __________________

Just as Lena I was prepared for a bad episode but I tried to enjoy it and I actually did.I mean I loved the case but this is maybe because of the influence of Criminal Minds.
When the episode started and I did not see Alex in the beginning of it I felt sad that maybe we will not see him at al in this episode but he showed up and for what I see he is going on a mission. They tried to make the bromance between Danny and Chin but no one could say it worked. But I like the relationship between those two anyway and it is different but does not make it bad. I was also hoping to see for of Kono.I mean that when the main character is missing you expect that all of the rest will gather together and do their best to fill in the gaps. But they didnt.I felt like Kono was missing too and this is what I hated the most. But I really liked the case and it made me sad all of the time. Also for the whole episode I was expecting that maybe Danny will sent an message to Steve saying he hopes he comes back save. But he did not send it and I felt bad for it. __________________

Steve is on a mission for sure but Alex never shoot that scene for this episode they used old footage from 1.07 for that last scene I guess they writers never thought the fans would notice it! I liked the scene's between Danny/Chin but they never showed any bromance that's only for McDanno and for me Scott acting is much better when he shares his scene's with Alex. Don't understand why there was not more Kono in this episode I expected that they would used her more during the time Alex is away. Yeah after all what happend in North Korea I was expecting to see the team was more concerned that Steve left on his own why didn't nobody text him __________________

It wasn't the best episode but it wasn't the worst either.
Random Thoughts: It was really weird to see a 5-0 eppie without Alex/Steve. Quote:
Thought Kamekono and his missing truck was kind of funny. You know, I agree with somehowsundown; I thought we would have seen more of Kono and was puzzled with Alex gone why we didn't. I like Max, so it was nice to see an episode featuring him. Loved Danny's concern for Steve and what he was doing. Having Steve search for Joe was a great way to explain Steve's absence while Alex was in rehab. "I am nothing like you; I am normal" I thought Chin or Kono would shoot the perp and was surprised when Max stabbed him. Quote:
Looking forward to Alex's return!! |

I liked this episode & was nice to have a bit of a back story to Max.
Still the worst episode ever was the James Caan & the Max storyline was waaaay above that. |

No Steve
It was kind of a weird dynamic without Steve...but it was good to find out more about Max. And now we have to wait like 2/3 weeks for the next episode!! Arghh how I hate these breaks! |

I thought that the episode was okay, and while it's great that we get to know more about Max, the ending bothered me...
I mean, working with the Governor's task force meant Max knew the guys they normally deal with are hardened criminals and murderers--and yet, he went off to face the suspect alone, without even alerting the 5-0 team, which was kinda stupid. |

I actually loved this episode. It was definitely weird without Steve, and so it felt like an entirely different show. Definitely like Criminal Minds, which I didn't mind at all. I like when the show focuses on a serial killer. Was this the show's first serial killer? Cause I wouldn't mind more serial killers. Max's story was enjoyable, and it's easier to take the character a little more seriously now. The banter between Danny and Chin was cute, but I cannot wait for the real thing.

I've come to the conclusion that Steve is the one that keeps me watching. I don't mind who he in interacting with. I think he could build up a family feeling with anyone he's working with. The show is driven by Alex, any well written scene with him interacting with any character would keep me happy. Alex doesn't need Scott or the others to shine, but it seems they need him. |

Ah but Steve definitely needs Danny to shine
