I'm not overly crazy about kidnapping episodes

even on the Blacklist...it gets way over-done

but hope you guys enjoy the episode

Thanks Dave!
And yeah, kidnapping cases usually are a road map because it's always pretty much the same thing... but I like most of the cases involving kids.

Vey good though more serious episode with some unexpected twists. Again my only complaint is that Grover is like a fifth wheel in H50 team. In this episode he was unnecessary. It made way more sense to include Jerry at least he was useful.

I really enjoyed this episode, love all the twist and turns it had and it had a season 1 vibe for me

Thought all the quest characters did a wonderful job I expected Maggie's father would be the bad guy but it was her mom. I felt for the father who lost his little girl in the car crash but this was not the way to take revenge

What me amazed most is how they write Danny this season sofar no whinning and talking with his hands but so in control of everthing he knew right away something was wrong how most ransom the kidkapper asked my love Danny is back!!!! Give me BAMF Danny every week Looking forward how Danny will find the money and I wonder where his brother has hide it.

I like Jerry and how he figure out who the guy was wonder where his Sl with the bookstore will go to. Not adding Jerry at the team make me like him more and more his scene's with Chin are my favorite's.

Again adding Grover at the team make's like it looks IMO that there is not really a team only McDanno are partners the rest are on there own make me miss Chin/Kono so much!! If anybody can tell me what use it has to adding Grover at the team please tell sofar he brings nothing special he has no special skills in anything I think beside taking screen time

I agree with you Anna 100% I can't see him staying long at Five-O he doens't fit into the team IMO he is a team on his own can't see him partner up with anybody of the team yet

Agreed. Judging just from these two episodes, the writers handle Danny's character very nicely. Dear Lord I wanted to kil him off in season 3. In season 4 there was much better writing for Scott's character. In season 5 he is again likeable. Keep up the good work guys.

FINALLY have time to comment on this eppie (RL has been nuts).

Random Thoughts:

I liked the eppie a lot; I agree with Lena; it did have s1 vibe to it.

Didn't see the wrong child being grabbed coming.

So far so good with Danny's character. I love the eppies concerning children; it puts Danny's compassionate side on display. Keep it up writers

I wonder where the whole SL concerning Danny's brother is going.

I so wish Grover wasn't on the task force; I still like him but I'd like him better if he is was still SWAT commander.

Jerry is so adorable.

A good start to this season; keep it up writers!!

Okay... more than one week late, but I finally got time to watch the episode!

LOVED it!! Talk about an episode with lots of surprising twists. And great ones too!

I really felt for the dad of the little girl that died That was so sad it brought tears to my eyes.... I admit, the writers really did an amazing job with that SL!!

Also, great idea to make the wife being guilty and not the husband, as well as the kidnappers getting the wrong girl The writing of this episode in regards of plot twists were PERFECT!!
I for one was really happy that they didn't use the SEAL/military as being a reason.

And I have to say that having Danny talking to the father about how he knows what he is feeling and how he would do anything to keep his kid safe... that was touching and very believable!!

Now to the things I didn't like... Grover, I love him, but seriously, he was useless and took away time on the field that would be Kono's or Chin's... I mean, Kono was really in the background in this episode.
And Jerry is adorable, and I love his quirkness, but honestly, giving him the job of watching footage of a crime? And not people from the tech-lab like Fong?? Seriously?? I hated that... it's once again bringing a civilian to do a job that the HPD have people to do.... Not digging it.
