Born October 28th 1985, Troian Avery Bellisario is no stranger to the business of Hollywood. She was born to the television producer Donald Bellisario and actress Deborah Pratt, so she was always surrounded by the ins and outs of Hollywood. Even with her famous parents, she was kept grounded and chose to take time to truly perfect her acting. Her hard work paid off, as she now plays Spencer Hastings, one of the lead roles in ABC Family’s hit show Pretty Little Liars.

Spencer (to Alex, about her mom): I know she can be kind of a handful. I mean, I’ve seen her send back a napkin ‘cause it had, like, a loose thread.

Emily: Did anyone call Shelly Leonard?
Spencer: Done. And I told her that if she plays anything depressing, I will kick in her cello.

Hanna: What else did [Jason] say?
Spencer: Nothing. He just kept smiling, like he was running for office.

Spencer: [Alison] would have liked that you were all here; she would have liked the attention. Actually, she would have loved the attention.

Alex: Ooh, you got Stephanie mad at you.
Spencer: I’ll worry about that if I ever touch the clam chowder.

Stephanie: You’re violating, like, a million health codes right now.
Spencer: Look, I’ve already had my shots, and I won’t touch the tartar sauce, okay?

Spencer (to her dad): You’re right. I am [competitive]. I’m just not sure it’s something I want to celebrate anymore.
By the way, you don’t have to read my essay… Because I stole it, but I’m going to win a big fat award, so I’m guessing you’re okay with that because winning is all that matters, right?

Hanna: If you're gonna cheat, you might as well do it with someone who deep conditions her hair occasionally.
Spencer: Here. Put something in your mouth besides your foot.

Spencer: Maybe [Toby] took a break from sitting on his porch and pulling the heads off of squirrels.

Spencer: There are teachers that you don’t want to see on a bike, and there are teachers that you do want to see on a bike.

Spencer (to Wren, about Melissa): Things were never great between us, but now it’s like The Hurt Locker.

Spencer: If a Hastings has a shot, she takes a shot.
Maya: Is that a drinking game?
Spencer: It should be.

Aria (seeing Wren): Oh, is that the new fiancé? Is he as uptight as Melissa?
Spencer: No one’s as uptight as Melissa!

Spencer: You're not like Melissa's usual boyfriends.
Wren: What's so unusual?
Spencer: I actually like you. That's what's unusual

Spencer: You know what they say about hope. It breeds eternal misery.
