I think A could be Mona or Lucas(

). They're the only ones with motive so far. Jenna's too obvious and we know it's not Toby.

I haven't a clue who A is in the book, nor do I want do. So, I'm not sure how this discussion will work exactly. I think for the first part of the question, people should use spoiler tags for the books.

As for who do I think A is on the show? Haven't a clue. It's like Gossip Girl for me (even though we don't even know in the books). I'm not sure WHO is as much of an importance to me. I think it runs the show. Therefore, if/when we find out the identity, I'm not sure what else they could do with the show, since this is the premise. Maybe last season I'd want to know who and how the girls deal with this person, but not right now. I barely think about it. I get this feeling it's no one we've seen yet. It's not Toby. None of the other guys. I don't think it's Jenna.

Well the books do go on after we discover A, so I guess the show can too.

I honestly don't believe A is Lucas. I do think it could be Maya, since they've changed who A was from the books. And I still don't get why they did that, because I don't see any one else who'd fit better as A than who A was in the books.

I agree. It makes no sense for it to be other than who it was in the books. But as much as I like Lucas he could be A with his speech about being afraid of the girls and the suspense music playing in the background.

I just hope he's not.

Maya... I like the idea of her finding a diary and whatnot, but the motive still doesn't work. Than again, the relationship with Emily is rocky. But honestly, that's not a way to win the girl. I still can't find reason for Maya.

Ah, Lucas... He hated Ali. And he was intimiated by the girls. There's motive. But, oh, sweet, awkward Lucas. I just can't see such an evil side to him. It's so hard to imagine. But it's an interesting thought.

Have they definitely changed it? I know Lucy said she didn't know who A was in the show, but I figured they were just keeping it ~mysterious. I wouldn't want them to change it

and Maya's impossible, because Emily got a text from A while Maya was asleep right next to her. Plus A stole their photos while Maya was inside the booth.

They said they were changing it who A was from the books right? I hope they do because some 14 year old brat (friend of my cousin) basically spoiled who it was for me. I wanted to kick her

Exactly, things don't add up for Maya.

That's a good point about REALLY changing. Maybe only a few people know, but I like that A's identity is mysterious to the girls. Makes them suspect everyone like their characters.

Yeah that's true, it's just that I'm struggling to find anyone who could be A other than Book!A.

I seriously hope they haven't changed A's identity.

ETA: What if Alex is A? He wasn't in the books and we don't know much about him...

Doesn't this make it better for the fans though? I mean the ones who read the books. Now there is more mystery for them.

Yeah, they were laying it on pretty thick with that scene. Mona has motive but she hasn't gotten a scene where anyone would seriously suspect her.

We need more on Alex. Maybe he knew Ali...
