It did seem to.
I mean, if you think about it, with she and Zedd it was just the back and forth of the banter that really made the audience believe that they were close...at least until the last few episodes. And with Richard it was a matter of him trusting her from the beginning and I don't know if it ever really evolved in a deep way from there. Yes, they had a friendship and, yes, she admitted she cared to the Night Wisp but I don't think they ever really developed them so much as just said, "Here. They're friends. They trust each other. That's it." Kahlan kind of was the character with whom they built a relationship with Cara. Even more so than Leo and she was, according to Zedd, in love with him at some ponit. __________________

I agree that they just had us assume about Richard and Cara with not really developing it
 nothin against what they did with Cara/Kahlan but like you guys, wished that they developed the others too. Cara's relationship with Richard needed more than the assumed trust and loyality tbh__________________

I'm not sure if you're shipper of their friendship or them as lovers.... For me it definitely is the first one. But I watched a vid yesterday about those two. It wasn't that bad and I think I'll bring it over tonight when I'm at home and if I don't forget about it.

. I thought that the show focused or on Kahlan & Cara which kinda bugged me because at least in the books Cara friendship with other of them was focused on an equal amount.
