Norman and I have been discussing this, and we think that it may be time to close this board. Our post counts have been declining over the past few months and we have very few regular posters. As you know, Fan Forum requires that we average at least 12 posts per day, with lower numbers than that leading to warnings and then possible closure of the board. We would prefer to go out under our own terms rather than be forced to close due to low post counts.

Please let us know what you think. We'd be glad to hear any suggestions or advice to renew interest here. Remember that to keep the board going, we need the commitment of a few regular, dedicated posters. As much as we love this board, please don't just post to "save" the board and then disappear again, because we'll be in the same position that we're in now if you do.

It's always sad to see possible closure threads. Peoples interests and fandoms change over time, and it's hard to keep going when the passions die down. I'm sure that it only came after a lot of soul searching.

Thanks for the time you've devoted to trying to keep this an active and viable forum.

If the board does close, feel free to open a thread at the Celebrities board to discuss Dianna and her projects.

Always a tough decision to think about closing a board. I know from experience it’s not easy. I think it’s always nice to post the possibility and see what kind of response you do or don’t get before making a final decision.

I agree. I would love to keep the board but only if it meant more discussions and more active board in general. I love pic/gifs as much as the next person but the lack of discussions is so sad. To me it hurts worse to have the board just be here but nothing really happens on it vs closing it down on our own terms.

It really is and I went back and forth for so long about it but with the state of the board as it is I feel like closing on our own terms is for the best. But as you said this thread is nice to see what response this might get. Sometimes seeing a board on the verge of closing can spark them to want to posts and keep it going and that can be good if they legitimate mean it and want to posts and have discussions. And if the response is in agreement to closing well then it speaks for itself.

So sad to see another board go but you have done so well kn making it this far .

I also think fans change interests and with less news also makes it hard but you could always reopen it if there is any interests again..

I've closed a few boards in my time irs hard but it's best to do you it your way than force to close

Yeah I think some people just moved on/changed interest and the ones that are still Dianna fans just aren't on FF anymore.

That is how I feel too. I would much rather close it like this then lose it to low post count.
