Oh you decided to make a Becho thread Becks !

Is Rebel Ice a kind of official ship name in the fandom or did you come up with it ?

a little chaos 03-07-2017 02:18 PM

I've caught the Becho fever and I can't shake it

I just made rebel ice up, it sounds cool and badass ;)

Damocles 03-07-2017 05:49 PM

tftnt! I don't ship them romantically per say, but you can add me so your name isn't alone :lmao:

destroyer of worlds 03-07-2017 06:02 PM

Same as Lisa. :lmao:

I didn't even need to see who made the thread ... knew it would be you, Becks. :lmao: :P

a little chaos 03-07-2017 10:57 PM

I added Lee too, cause I can

Yeah you don't have to ship them, but I do have some thread questions that'll generate lots of discussion later today after work :)

destroyer of worlds 03-08-2017 07:19 AM

Okay, Becks. :) Definitely don't ship them romantically but I do think they have an interesting dynamic.

First question, With Lincoln/Octavia we got to see them grow together and Octavia learn his ways and adopt the grounder lifestyle. With Lexa/Clarke we got to see them learn from each other as leaders and they bonded over that. What do you think they'll do with Bellamy/Echo in that sense?

What can they take/learn from eachother?

-I think they're already in the process of showing us that Bellamy and Echo can learn from eachother. I think Echo is seeing things from the Sky People's perspective more and more, and same with Bellamy w/ the Ice Nation. Bellamy never had a close relationship with a grounder other than Lincoln, and didn't trust any of them. Echo even betrayed him, but I think now he's seeing more and more what she would do for her people. It's no different than what he would do for his people - basically anything. He would betray the Ice Nation in a heartbeat for his people, IMO. If he HAD to. But I think Echo is learning that sometimes there are other ways that aren't so black and white or cut and dry.

What can they take/learn from eachother?

-see above

I definitely think they'll learn from each other and already are, but I think that happens in any sky/ground relationship, Clarke learnt the from Lexa about making the hard choices for her people etc, Octavia learnt not all grounders are savages etc... But this is Bellamy, we all know how he feels about grounders so for me this will be the most interesting one so far.

Here's what I think they're doing with them, I think they're gonna bond over morality, they've both done terrible things, things that'll haunt them forever. But I think they'll learn that the people they have become in war is not who they really are and that maybe somewhere along the line they can atone, already the wheels are set in motion with the "war made me a murderer" line, plus this season is about whether they're worthy of survival.

Good answers, you guys!

Excited to see what we get tonight :yay:

destroyer of worlds 03-08-2017 05:20 PM

Becks, there's a one week break ... new episode is only next week. :(

Very interesting answers, girls. I more or less agree ... out of the Grounder/Arkers dynamic, I think this could be one of the more interesting ones to me and given all that they've gone through in the last three seasons, I really do think that these two have lessons to learn from each other especially this:

But I think they'll learn that the people they have become in war is not who they really are and that maybe somewhere along the line they can atone.
It's a throwback to the whole "Who we are and who we need to survive are two different things." line from season 1.

I think it's coming full circle, if Bellamy can find peace with a grounder there's hope for everyone.

Do you think Bellamy CAN forgive Echo?

Fuzzy Dunlop 03-09-2017 06:37 AM

Yes, I think Bellamy can forgive Echo. They set it up in 4x01. Echo wouldn't be asking if they can trust each other again, and Bellamy wouldn't be saying he doubts it, if there wasn't going to be a turn-around on that over the course of the season. It was an obvious arc set-up.

I think they'll continue to be forced to work together this season and we might learn some things about Echo. There was a line in 4x01 where she said she knows what it's like to lose someone you care about to war and I was thinking that probably means we'll find out what happened to her eventually. Like what if she had a sibling who died in war? That would explain why she clearly felt so terrible about killing Octavia and would also be a good jumping off point for Bellamy realizing they're more similar than he thought.
