I'd totally take snowboarding lessons from Lindsey! I feel like she'd be a tough teacher though.

Depressingly true.

I think that she pretty much had to act as an adult really early on, depending on when her mother started neglecting her.

I kind of wanted to know what happened with her dad back in season 1 but I agree that it really wouldn’t be relevant to the storyline now. Unless it’s tied to Eligius or the story in season 5 somehow.

I've never been really curious about Raven's parents

I think we know enough about them from season 1 to have a basic understanding of how she grew up and at this point I'd rather the show be more focused on the present rather than flashing back so far

Well my curiosity wouldn't expire, I'll always be curious about her parents, whether now or in season 1. I WAS curious then, but as the show went on and it seemed like they were relevant to the story at all, I gave up

I think the information we got about her mother was enough, no need to show flashbacks of her actually neglecting Raven or being abusive. I would have loved to see Raven and Finn as kids though. I always wondered who her father was and if he was somebody relevant or just some rando.

I feel like Raven's father was probably just some rando, tbh. Since it was implied that her mom basically traded her body for... stuff, I feel like she got knocked up with Raven on accident, and Raven probably never knew who her father was (and maybe even her mom didn't know tbh).

Yeah, might have been any man or even a guard, the Bellamy/Octavia flashback episode made it clear that their mother was having sex with the guard to grant Bellamy a spot on the team. Maybe Raven's mother exchanged her body to get alcohol.

I think at this point, we’re meant to believe that Raven’s mother traded sex for something, likely alcohol, and that’s probably how she ended up with Raven. Even though we don’t know much, I think we can safely assume that Raven’s less than ideal upbringing definitely helped make her the strong woman she is today.

Probably also why she acts too tough sometimes, like nothing bothers her and why she's so closed off and comes off harsh sometimes.
