All these poor animals getting inside There was a squirrel a few weeks ago under the car in our parking garage, it would have taken him awhile to get down there He must not be the brightest squirrel.

Sarah, I can handle normal-sized insects but spiders the size of the palm of my hand are a different story altogether. That being said I don't know how to get rid of people.
Lisa Poor squirrel, is it out safely? |

I hope the squirrel got out, Lisa.
As for the one that I encountered, it came back, munched on a bunch of fruits and then promptly peaced out of the house. Let's hope that it's the last time because I do not want to chase it out of the house. __________________

squirrels are notorious for being little bastards. My cousins kind of let a squirrel hang out, tossed food its way, etc. and then other squirrels took out their jealousy on my cousin. Some dropped a big piece of bark from a branch onto his shoulder, others threw acorns at him.

Wow, squirrels are vicious (but adorable) little things.
Was literally working all weekend, don't even feel like I had one day of break, let alone two. __________________

Hopefully. As I mentioned to the others on another thread, I'll be free on America's independence day i.e. 4 July.
Also, my colleague's overconfident directions made me go through pitch black and rocky cemetery road last night. Fun/terrifying times. And then he had the gall to joke about me watching back my dashcam to see if there's any footage there. I wanted to smack him silly at that point. __________________

I would so want to watch the dash cam. But would also be terrified. Several years ago, while in college, some friends and I walked through a cemetery one morning with a tape recorder just to see what we could hear. We didn't get through the whole tape when listening to it but definitely heard something. Was so freaky.
This last weekend went way too fast. It was my last weekend before my sister moves to the other side of the country. I'm really dreading this weekend. She leaves this Friday. I'm not sure how well I'll be holding it together. I feel like I've been fighting off an emotional breakdown for weeks now. And update on hair dude! Yesterday was my first day working the same shift as him. We actually had lunch at the same time but I didn't see him. He must have gone out for lunch. I did see him though during my afternoon break. I texted my best friend all about not seeing him at lunch but then seeing him for my break. Then said I feel like I'm back in high school reporting to my best friend about every interaction I have with my crush. She kept telling me last night to just ask him out. I swear it's like she doesn't know me. __________________

Kenni It's rough having your sister move so far away. Not to be the positive person but think, now you have an excuse to travel to the other side of your country.
Sarah and Kenni Has anyone read the Anne of Green Gables series? Anne, and later her children, play in freaking graveyards and I'm like "damn it, adults, where are you???" At least in Road to Avonlea those kids snuck out because they knew the adult Kings would not stand for that malarky. Of course I have an overactive imagination, there's a storage room that no one accesses at my work when I had to go up for the first time yesterday... suffice it to say I was convinced someone would jump out at me. I mean, what do you expect when it's referred to as "The Dungeon"? |

Kenni ... yeah, I'm not going to download that footage ever. I'm too much of a wuss.
That's tough ... I'm really close to my sister too, can't imagine being so far away from her. I didn't read the series, Janet but at them playing in the graveyard. I could never. (says the person who is totally terrified, yet loves horror movies ) And that is an interesting name for a storage area. I'd be intrigued yet want to go down there to see what is up. __________________

It's actually up even though most dungeons are down. So we have two staircases, but only one goes up to that floor.Unlike the stairs below, the stairs here don't have a proper landing, they just curve and become narrow. I suspect there's something up even higher because some genius left a ladder at the narrow point leaning against the wall. The door is locked and unless you know where to look you don't see the key. The light is off up there but there's enough light from below to see, thankfully. You open the door and it's a lot harder to see and you're stuck feeling up the wall for the light switch. The room itself seems long but narrow, it has got a lot of items in there, including baby wipes and paper supplies* but at the end of the room, there are open double doors leading into another dark room. That's when my brain kicked into high gear and I grabbed my items and left. By the way, trying to pass the ladder at the curve of the stairs while walking on a sore foot and balancing two cases of baby wipes really should win me employee-of-the-year awards.
*The cook orders a lot of stuff and then he, I swear, hides them all over the place. It's getting a bit ridiculous. I always thought LM Montgomery was a bit morbid but I wonder how true to life her books were in that regard? __________________
