I think Octavia is going to lose control over her people at some point and this is going to be her downfall. I don't think they are going to kill her or anything but if she keeps making decisions that'll keep them starved and vulnerable, they are going to snap out of it and stop following her.

I don't think Octavia is actually a fanatic though, she showed glimpses of who she was in the past, she's just doing what she thinks she needs to do to keep the people in line. I don't necessarily agree with her ways and I'm no fan of cults at all but her behaviour makes sense to me.

I think . . . I don’t know. I think she’s drunk her own Kool-Aid, so to speak. But I don’t think she’s a fanatic because she’s the leader of the fanatics.

I was really worried about her headed into the season, and I still am, but to a lesser extent. Out of the core 4, she’s still the one I’m worried about the most, but that’s mostly just because, like you guys have said . . . from a writing standpoint, I don’t know what they would do with her next.

She is doing what she thinks is the right decision as a leader, but she's not really considering how her actions will be viewed by her people right now. Burning food when the people are starting to go hungry ... not a good move. Kara is right (but also wrong) in terms of her comments about how she needs to exert power/control over the situation to prevent dissent, but if she continues to make all decisions based on this one rule, she's going to ultimately lose control anyway.

I'm not sure if I completely agree with that, at least based on that ridiculous "The wind won't bend to Wonkru (?)" line from 5X05. She believes what she's saying to a certain extent, I suppose that the extent of which is a matter of question.

Yep. And I’d say that using the blood on someone else’s hands to justify the blood on your own just doesn’t work.

Octaiva should be like, le'ts give her a chance, and met with Diyoza and give her a honest chance, I don't think she would take it, but she has then given her a honest chance

It would be good if she did, but unfortunately she doesn't seem to want to negotiate with Diyoza.

Can I be added please?? Octavia is the best part of this season.. I am loving her so much I have genuinely always really enjoyed her character (she is my favourite after Lexa), but Marie is so awesome at playing with these sorts of emotions She is killing it.
