I think of Bellamy as the leading male and Murphy and Monty are second. Kane is the adult male lead.

My top three is the same as Sonja but in a slightly different order:

1. Bellamy
2. Monty
3. Kane

Murphy has definitely become one of the pivotal male characters on the show, though.

I'm just trying to think of the order that I would think of them, and I'm wondering if it's the same as how I would order my favorites. Let's see . . .

1. Bellamy
2. Murphy
3. Kane

I always think of murphy first because i think hes by far the funniest character.

but bellamy is obviously the leading man, and kane the adult lead. jaha too but i just forget/ignore jaha. :lmao:

monty has been around quite a while too i suppose, so he'd have to be up there too. but for some reason i have a hard time considering him a lead. I feel like murphy is more of a lead in that regard. We often see murphy in his own storylines where as i feel like monty more often is kind of carded off with others a lot.

I don't really think of Jaha as a lead but I suppose that he is. :P Even Kane TBH ... he's not that front and center either.

Agree.

Jaha's dead last on my list.

To me, Bellamy is the clear male lead, so that makes the others all supporting, but Murphy is like . . . like THE supporting guy to me. And to think, he wasn't even in the opening credits until season three.

Oh yes, a bit nuts to think that Richard only became a regular in season 3.

I think he was more lead in season 1 and now he’s more supporting.

It would be nice to see Murphy take on a more leading role with the time jump. I don’t think we’ve ever had the chance to see him in that role because he’s always off doing his own thing. Maybe that’ll change.

Murphy as a leader in something could be good. We got a small taste of that when he, Indra, and Pike were together in S3.

I don't really know what to expect from Murphy in season five. I feel like the writers have done an amazing job keeping his character consistent, so I feel like there will be some things about him that will still very much be the same. But one of the most consistent traits of his character is that he'll do what he needs to do to survive, so if he needs to change . . . I think he will.

BlueDog9 11-08-2017 04:12 PM

He can adapt

Richard with an unusual hairstyle :D

I agree. He's like a chameleon and adapts whenever and wherever he has to. Being in space won’t change that, but he has to learn to be a team player at the very least.

As to whether he’ll play a leader role eventually, I think that is hard to say because I don’t necessarily see him as wanting to ever lead. But depending on circumstances, when he’s forced to lead (somehow), I think that he’ll step up to the plate and would be a pretty interesting leader. To say the least.

It looks like her ran his fingers through his hair a lot.

I agree, I think leadership would be something that the situation forced Murphy into. He wouldn't choose it freely.
