My husband likes it to watch soccer games with his friends at a bar
but I'm so nervous, that I don't like it to have so many people around me while I'm watching a soccer game I need a lot personal space to jump around and scream at my TV My younger son has watched with me today __________________

Wow, so many upsets in the opening matches. Even the Brazil/Switzerland match.
I’m sure that Germany will do better in the next matches, Sonja, so yes don’t be too sad about it. That’s awesome, Paulina! It must be awesome to watch with others in pubs for example since everyone will be hyped up and excited. __________________

What a football filled weekend LOL
Switzerland did well against Brazil And out of all the games I've watched, I'd say Spain-Protugal definitely was the best level of playing (although those endless rounds of passing the ball with no forward momentum by Spain bores me to death ) I also rooted for Iceland And well done them Paulina, I was actually checking and was suprised to see Poland had not been in it since 2006 I hope they do well this year!! Happy Monday, everyone __________________

I don't give up the hope until it's over and I hope we'll see a better performance from the German Team against Sweden Quote:
I could watch such games every day Quote:
Okay, it was better at the 2nd half, but they have started to play faster much too late Spain is successful with that system, because they keep the ball better Quote:

It's really surprising how the defending champions/typically strongest teams aren't starting out too well ... but I must say, as someone who's not invested in any teams per say, it makes for more exciting viewing. But nervewrecking for actual fans, I'm sure.
I was rooting for Korea in the Korea/Sweden match (because yay, Asian team!) but unfortunately, they were outmatched there. __________________

You're right, Sarah ... the tournament is more interesting when the teams are at a similar level
I'm sorry for you that Korea has lost the game I had hopes, that Korea will make the 1:1 Tie ... that would be better for Germany Now we have too win the next game against Sweden ... If we lose, then it's over Tomorrow you'll root for Japan, Sarah? I think they'll have a tough game against Colombia __________________

Yes, I will. Side note, Richard is rooting them on too. He was wearing a Japan jersey recently.
And thanks. It's just nice to see an Asian team do well (when it's usually European-dominated) but the Swedes were just too good. __________________

Ugh, I know (at least part of) the hassle all too well, Lisa. Hang in there! Hopefully, the rest of it goes smoother.

Nasty set piece strike by Germany to win it!
Wow, that was amazing! Germany couldn't buy a second goal... post, Swedish goalie being Superman, incredible stuff! That direct Free Kick Strike right outside the box was one of the best set piece shots I've ever seen. Bang! Congrats, Sonja! |
