So with our genes creating children, you'd think they'd be dark featured, right? Nope! Both have blonde hair and light eyes (Blue and a very unique hazel-blueish, greenish, caramel), and fairer skin. Although our second one tans easily. She has a little more olive skin and gets pretty dark after just a day or two in the sun. Wonder what this next one will look like?!

Maybe your third one will be a perfect blend of the first two. I guess the fact that they're not dark featured means that your genes are stronger than your hubby's somehow. I'm pretty dark skinned since I take after my dad ... my mum is pretty fair skinned. I have more of her features though. Brother takes after mum more and sister is like a carbon copy of my dad. Genes are a strange thing.

I said golden birthday because I turned 30 and my birthday is the 30th. So 30 on the 30th, but you can totally use it for any birthday if you want.

We always joke that if we have a boy and he looks like my husband then we'll be like lady and the tramp when they had puppies.

I missed my own one actually since my birthday is on the 29th. But I'm totally using it for everyone else's birthdays.

I can imagine since you're used to girls but not boys. You guys plan to find out the gender or just wait and have it be a surprise?

We'll definitely find out. I'm too big of a planner to have it be a surprise. Having a baby is stressful and exhausting already; let me ease some of that by knowing what to expect. We won't be able to find out for at least another couple of months though.

I'd totally want to find out as soon as possible too. For the same reasons. At least you guys have the basic stuff sorted out but there's still a lot to prepare for/buy etc. I'm sure.

I'm going to see my friend and her three month old tomorrow. I love squishy new babies.

April, remember how I used to always joke about no wonder I like Bellarke when my husband and my coloring are similar to them. And haha, his little man-appreciations are my favorites. I can't tell y'all often I send him gifs of stuff as a joke.

Haha, I will. We're hanging out with her baby for a while and then her hubby is on babysitting duties for a bit while we lunch. Poor girl hasn't been out for a proper, long lunch/dinner for a while, unsurprisingly.
