I had no idea about the lesbian death trobe until Lexa died. It was new to me but after reading about it, I was like that sucks! Why can't they ever be happy.

i was a bit aware of it but i fully realized it when i entered in this thread and everyone was like "we hope Lexa doesn't die" and i was very confused and asked why should she die? and then someone explained it to me. yeah, JR's fan baiting worked excellent. i never thought he'd do this to us after everything he said.

I had no idea of JR's fan bating and the hype cause I never saw the tweets and all cause I was never around at the time. Then after her death I saw it all. Thank god I wasn't around when reading all this hype.

i was never interested in tweets and behind the scene stuff before Lexa appeared on screen. she quickly became my favorite and i started reading spoilers and tweets.

Her death had been predicted already in season 2 after they started to imply that she had to die for the new commander to be chosen but I never expected them to kill her in such a lazy and trope-y way, literally a minute or two after the sex scene.

since i binge watched season 2 of The 100 when it already aired i had no idea that everyone thought she'd die.

i just read those arguments when they were filming season 3 and i read things in the spoiler thread and on twitter.
anyway, her death isn't what upsets me. it upsets me how she was written off the show. not to mention all the fan baiting and what happened behind the scenes.

Yeah, the way she died and the fan baiting are the main issues. I never trusted Jason though, so I wasn't surprised by this neither by the way he handled the backlash afterwards.

Not everyone thought she would die though, some people thought it would be too obvious and that they would find a different way to write her out. Now that we know what "reincarnation" means in the world of The 100, her death could have been avoided imo.

i honestly don't know why i thought he was a nice guy and shipped Clexa. oh wait, probably because of his tweets. yeah, it totally worked on me and i felt very stupid and used afterwards.

her death didn't serve a purpose. they could have explained it without killing her. so unnecessary.

But then you think about it. In season 2, Titus wasnt there. So how did they expect to get the chip if lexa was eaten by pauna, or died in battle. And then Clarke could have seen the scar and said.

"oh whats this scar"
"thats where the commanders spirit enters after the conclave"
"what do you mean enters"
"the flame keeper puts the commanders spirit into the commander"

Then later when Titus shows them the chip. Clarke has a oh wait ive seen that symbol before. Then Titus says it looks like the commander spirit.

Boom everything explained without a pointless death.

it's just a cheap storyline with to sense. the writers really lack on writing skills this season. not only with the reincarnation storyline.
