I have a hard time understanding how anyone could label Clarke a villain, either. That just disregards all of her layers and complexities, IMO. I’m fully on board with anti-hero, but not villain.

I’m not quite sure if Clarke really fits either the “hero” or “anti hero” label, to be honest.

Like Bob said, it’s hard to say that some of the characters are straight up villains because this show has very morally gray characters (I agree, apart from Ontari probably ... who was just evil, I feel).

She’s hard to label at all, but I do feel anti-hero is the most fitting (out of the 3). Because she has good intentions but is so flawed that we see these tragic storylines for her, and we see her decisions have catastrophic consequences at times.

I can agree with most of that. She is blinded sometimes by her end goal that she doesn’t see the tragic consequences until it’s too late, but she means well. Always.

I like that too, Clarke definitely doesn’t fit into a simple box in terms of her character.
