I am loving these speculations! For the most part I think they're spot-on with what we've been shown.

However -

I just can't shake the feeling that Josephine (which would of course just be her consciousness at this point, but calling them by their original names just makes things easier) isn't happy with the whole rebirth thing, and Gabriel (whether it's somehow the original Gabriel or HIS consciousness in a different body) is actually helping her take down the whole Eternal Primes shebang. I think there has to be a reason Josephine was shown to actually still be alive after her dad went crazy and thought he killed her. Maybe by killing the rest of the Prime families, none of them remember what happened in order to be opposed to the whole idea of being reborn, but Josephine does. She's the one that wrote the "children's book" Clarke found, after all. And there was a line in Children of Gabriel about them having spies/moles inside the Capital. (Totally stealing that name from The Hunger Games, because it fits.)

That would also fit in with Russell and Josephine's whole clunky "God is dead" conversation. Original Recipe Russell went crazy during the Red Sun, believed that not only was God real but that he himself was (or became) God, and this was the way to grant eternal life to those of his choosing....but Josephine wasn't on board because she knew what had really happened.

I'm still wondering about Rose asking Clarke if she was there to take them home at the end of Red Sun Rising. What did she mean? Where is home? Especially now that we know Rose was due to become one of the Primes soon (otherwise the CoG wouldn't have kidnapped her). Hmmmmmm.

Thats what im wondering too!

I rewatched the S6 Trailer the other Day and there are really a lot of stuff from the first three Episodes. Altough i think the Joesphine/Clarke Theory is confirmed in the Trailer because Russell who talks to a blonde Girl Looking like Clarke, but not to Clarke. He could be Talking to Josephines Mind. And Eliza said s6 has fun Scenes, so imagine either Clarke being all flirty with Bellamy for the Bellarke shippers or, probably more fun, because there are less shippers, Clarke going flirty on Murphy. A bit like that Episode on The Flash where Barry acted all weird, because it was a Doppelganger. Same with like 8 Seasons of Vampire Diaries. This is Always a great Idea for Relationsships and Dynamics and of Course internal struggle and conflict too.

I would agree with that, I feel like that point is kind of overlooked. Clearly, neither of them is perfect but I just think that Octavia's actions when it comes to Bellamy are distinctly more damaging and drastic than what he's done to her.

Thanks for bringing over Selina's article, Sonja! Very interesting.

But what about Gabriel himself? Could he somehow still be living in his original/first resurrected body, as the “old man” who has apparently abandoned/rejected them? Do the Children of Gabriel truly want to harm the Nightbloods they capture, or do they want to save them from becoming Prime hosts? (I suppose Octavia will find that out next week.)
That was something I brought up and it'll be even more interesting if Gabriel somehow still inhabits his original body, rather than moving from one to another, like the Primes. That would make him different from the others somehow.

As to Selina's question, I feel like it'll be a bit of both. They loathe the Prime hosts and there must be a good reason why that is, but I'm guessing that they need the Nightbloods for their own (currently unknown) purposes too.

I agree, Sarah.

I must have missed the “old man” line everyone’s talking about.

My best guess about the "old man" is he's probably not the original Gabriel from the flashback but a few reincarnations down the line (so that he would be elderly, but not over 236 years old!) who became disillusioned with the whole Primes thing and broke off to form this other group. They probably believe that it's wrong to replace someone with a dead person's consciousness and so they're taking the heads of the dead Primes to prevent the transfer. And they're also kidnapping the nightbloods so they can't be replaced. What's her face who was flirting with Jordan really seemed to believe her naming day was basically the end of her life, so it's kinda like... fair play to the Children of Gabriel. If that's the case, then they're saving the nightbloods' lives.

Yo, what if they have all the dead Primes' heads stored in some creepy room in the castle like Mombi from Return to Oz????

I'm so tired of these plot lines revolved around the night blood. And I really hope the show doesn't think they're kidding anyone into thinking the people of Sanctum are "good" while the Children of Gabriel are "bad." This story just feels recycled.

And when Clarke went to meet with the Primes in the castle I totally felt like I was watching an episode of Stargate. Seriously, this set is just reminding me of those many aliens planets. Like they want to show that it's connected to Earth since the inhabitants are descendants of Earth but still give it this alien vibe.

Anyway, Clarke being the "leader" seemed a little out of place to me as well. Except that she was really the only one stepping up and saying anything. Which is typical Clarke. That can be a good quality, but sometime I really think she'd be better off keeping her mouth shut.

The one thing I'm not loving this season, is the corny outfits people in Sanctum wear. Howcome a futuristic planet always has to have people wearing weird bright robes with goofy hairstyles? They look like they're from The Capital in the Hunger Games.

That aside, at least it's bright!

Anyway, I had no idea what was going on until I read these host/rebirth/conscious theories and now it makes a bit more sense. How would having someone's consciousness in you, work? Is it like, a full possession? Cause then that would be interesting.

Murphy is more emo than usual now, not sure if I care for that (I was enjoying more chipper Murphy).

The Children of Gabriel look like the hipsters of Planet Alpha, I'm interested in them. I had a feeling that they seemed "soft" towards Octavia? At least that guy did? I mean, after spraying her in the face with those mace plants.

I'm super bored of Abby in general, and Raven looking grumpy, and Miller and Jackson just standing around with nothing to do. Give these characters some work. Echo just stands around look concerned and telling Bellamy to relax, or something.

On the other hand, I like the Madi/Diyoza/Gaia dynamic - too bad it didn't last. Diyoza to me, remains probably the most dynamic character on this show right now. Other than the most precious bb dog (jk jk)

The snake thing was cool, but Murphy's skin looks suspiciously like drawing paper from an art store.

I didn't mind the episode, I find everything pretty interesting IMO - the previews are so useless, though?

Can't wait for the next episode to see how Octavia will be treated by the Children of Gabriel. I guess she will have some bad visions caused by that paralyzing fog.
When you see what impact the plants had on Murphy's mind, it will be interesting to see what the fog does with Octavia's mind.

It's sad that Diyoza and Madi got separated. Hope it's not for long.
But now that Diyoza is outside of the shield, she could team up with Octavia ... that would be an interesting duo too.

This, I feel like the writers either forgot about these characters or just don’t know what to do with them (especially Raven).

I’m so excited about that dynamic, plus Octavia who will inevitably stumble upon the Children of Gabriel people and join them in no time. Though Kenni has a good point about it being very obvious that the Sanctum people are not as good as they’re portraying themselves to be, whereas the actual “good” guys will be the COG people. I just wish that it wasn’t so clear.

Yeah, we’ve all pretty much been able to tell that the good guys aren’t so good and the bad guys aren’t so bad.

Actually liking this season somewhat, though I see it starting to go downhill already. But or now I will keep up.

This one was an okay episode, I didnt enjoy it as much as the first two.

Bellamy standing up for Clarke was really sweet. She is the leader and the rational thinker. If people have a problem with that then maybe they should step up... cough Raven cough. I am not even Clarke's biggest fan but these people are being ridiculous.

The guy in charge seems level headed but the actor is always sort of sketchy so I’m worried what his intentions will be later on. He seems okay for now. Weirdly I think he has good chemistry with Clarke .

Jordan flirting was fun but kissing that girl already was weird and too fast for me. And she was ready to have sex after a first kiss damn girl.

Octavia is a psycho. Bellamy living her behind was harsh but sort of necessary. Im sick of her. And attacking those guys at the end was dumbbb.

Loved the Murphy and Bellamy moment as well as the Murphy and Raven moment!
