That's awesome that you got to meet her! What else have you seen her in?

She would definitely be a good ally to have. She's smart and seems really determined to protect her people.

That’s awesome, Mark! From her tweets, she seems like a lovely person.

I’m very intrigued by Diyoza, she’s clearly a very smart, calculating and forward thinking person and that will make for some compelling storytelling this season.

What I wonder about Diyoza is why she’s so loyal to the other ex-prisoners. As a Navy SEAL who turned freedom fighter/terrorist when, as she said, “my country turned to tyranny,” she seems like a very different type of “criminal” than the rest. Does she really want the only surviving remnant of humanity to be a bunch of criminally insane murderers? Plus, given that the other prisoners are all men (as far as I’ve seen), the Eligius people on their own have no hope of setting up a society that can survive and reproduce. Seems like Diyoza would be better throwing in her lot with the bunker people.

I do wonder that too, she is very loyal to them and protective over them. And I wonder what sickness they have.

I would like to know that, too ... Hopefully we'll find out soon

Abby seems to be the key in that sickness story and I could imagine that Abby and Kane may have a lot of influence when it comes to a prevent a war

I hope the prisoners don't use Kane as a hostage to make Abby compliant

What a cool Diyoza Icon, Marie!

I think there's probably more to the story that might explain her loyalty to them. Also, she at least knows the other prisoners and has some history with them in which they had the opportunity to gain her trust. And I don't think Wonkru made a great first impression. After propelling in to the middle of the fighting ring, I don't blame her for being wary of them. Even Bellamy and Clarke looked uneasy.

Diyoza might have gone back on her deal, but she's very strategic and seems like a smart person. She seems to think things through like a proper leader, even if she's antagonistic. And there's humanity to her, too. We got a tiny bit of that with Dante, but then eventually even when Clarke tried to reason with him, he went back on that and let Cage do what he wanted.

I think Diyoza has valid reasons for reneging on the deal. One of them was probably seeing the fighting pit and being like... no way can we live with all these people who have their own drama and rules. On top of being way outnumbered, even if they get the prisoners down from Eligus IV - 290 (give or take: Kodiak, "four of ours are dead," Madi killed a few, plus the one McCreary just killed) vs. 814??? Not a chance she's going to take.

Interesting perspective. I agree about why it would make sense for her to ally herself with the bunker people but she's been with her people for literally a hundred years so that sense of loyalty is hard to shake, even if I'm sure she is smart enough to know that she needs to have a long-term strategy for survival.

I wouldn't be so sure about that
Diyoza and the prisoners have the better weapons and they have missiles
They can wipe a bunch of people out in no time with their arsenal of weapons
The BunkerKru and Clarke have weapons too, but their weapons are not as good as Diyoza's

I still have hope that they can overcome that conflict without a fight

Yeah, strategically speaking, it made sense for Diyoza to order the hit on Wonkru too since they would be completely outnumbered in an hand-to-hand combat situation ... even if Eligius has the big guns. Interesting that she only did that when the random Eligius dude sparked the tension by shooting at Octavia though. That means that perhaps she has a bit of compassion there. And didn't she originally tell McCreary that she wanted to kill everyone but Abby since they needed her?

Me too, but that's highly unlikely on the show, I'm afraid.

She reminds me alot about how Lexa was in season 2, she's the most intriguing villain since Kane was a villain imo

She’s definitely one of the most interesting antagonists in the show so far, I honestly want her to stick around for a while. Which probably means that she’s destined to die soon.

And holy crap, she is pregnant! One of the people I follow on Twitter totally predicted that Ivana’s RL pregnancy was going to be written in. I wonder how that will factor into her story this season and OMG, McCreary is totally the father, right?

Totally agree, she is by far my favorite antagonist yet. Honestly, I am kind of rooting for her this season.

And I was so surprised to see her pregnancy written in! I wonder where this storyline is going

I'm rooting for her and Spacekru to align against Wonkru. Maybe Wonkru is it's own downfall, though.

I'm a bit perplexed as to why they wrote her pregnancy in. It must have been really difficult to hide.

I’m also rooting for her vs Octavia/Wonkru too. If we are supposed to hate her, it’s not working. I feel like she’s really liked by fans and I can see why Jason was still adamant on having her for this role even though she fell pregnant just as the season was being filmed.

I’m really curious about where this baby storyline is going too. I feel like they could easily hide it so maybe there’s some plot related story behind it? It all feels a bit to fanfic-y though, with McCreary likely to be the father. But I’ll reserve judgement for a while until we know more.

Also, Diyoza is so smart/strategic and plain awesome! I just want her to stick around forever, sassing people and being a badass.

And aww, Ivana is adorable.
