I think we will never agree on this. I haven't seen much effort from her in s4 and apparently you have. Regardless of points of view, Octavia's arc seem to have come full circle. What that means for the future of her character, I don't know. The show made it important that Bellamy got to tell her he loves her with the world coming to an end. Perhaps that's a good start, making it little easier for them BOTH to work on better their relationship in s5?

The fact that he keeps working to do what’s best for his people and to gain back Octavia’s trust is what is inspiring about him.

Like Sarah said, I think actions speak louder than words. So as much as I was upset with Octavia for the words she said in 4x06, her actions since then have shown her true love for her brother. If we get an apology at some point, great, but if we don't, then I've loved this arc enough to be more than content with it.

After she told him, "why do you think you're still alive", what actions are you speaking of pre-hug? Because I need to watch those scenes again, there has been so few.

Even in the season 4 premiere, it was a quick moment but Octavia was clearly distressed when one of the Grounders had a sword to Bellamy's neck ... she looked pained when she thought that he was going to hug her before she went into the conclave (but he didn't), she asked for him right after she won the conclave and she demanded a spot for him in the bunker and didn't ask one for herself. Those are the few examples that I can think of, right off the bat.

Thank you for answering! I will look up those scenes. It has been so hard watching her scenes because her behaviour hurt my soul (as an abuse victim, it triggered me), so I kind of just blocked her out mostly (used to hold out my hand to block her from view).

A lot of things have happened since she beat him up

Her looking at him when Emerson tied them up and almost killed him.
The way she looked at Bellamy as he was talking to Echo.
The way she fell into his arms when Arkadia burnt down.

I don't always need apologies Would it be good to hear her say it? Sure.
Do I need it? Nope.

All the way through, her actions has shown that she still loves him, cares for him and trusts him, even when her words directed at him haven't.

Her absolute faith that Bellamy would open the door. The hug they had. The way she looked as she was listening in to Bellamy and Roan. The fact that she demanded Bellamy gets a bed.

It's enough for me.

It's enough for me too. Do they have a long way to go when it comes to healing their relationship? For sure. But it doesn't mean that the relationship is a lost cause, far from it, I think.

They both need to survive the Apocalypse first. They can start mending their relationship...in season 5.
