My only complaint with season two is that Bellamy was sort of underused in the first half, but I do realize they had to make room to tell the story of Finn’s downward spiral. And honestly, I found that whole storyline to be pretty enthralling, so I can’t complain too much.

Someone should ask Bob if he would rather have another season like season two, where he gets to do more action scenes and be more of a hero, or another season like season four where he gets to play out the more complex emotional storylines. We know he enjoyed both.

Yeah season 2 was like, his superhero season. He didn't really have much of a storyline for himself or his character growth, but he did save the day or save the girl or save his people, etc. etc. So it was fun to watch.

Season 3 put him through the ringer (and all the dead people too, obvs) and season 4 was great because yes.

Same. As was rescuing Fox, though that turned out to be for nothing since she died. At least Mel survived, I think?

I do love that hat, Lisa. I always associate to you now though.

I do feel like he was under-used in season 2 to some extent, April. But that it fit within the context of the story that was being told at that time so it didn't bug me too much.

The hat was incredibly dorky and sat atop his curls like a weird khaki blob. The hat is iconic.

Yeah, I can’t think of that hat without thinking of Lisa.

I think Bellamy did have his own storyline in season two; it was just . . . it was just simpler, to be honest, because it was his most heroic season. I think it was really a continuation of what we saw at the end of season one, where it was no longer just important to him that he protect Octavia, but rather that he protect all the deliquents because they’d all become his family at that point.

It’s still a great season for him and always will be. But season three definitely amps up his complexity, regardless of how one feels about it.

Agreed, season 2 just cemented how committed he was to protecting the others the best he could though we already saw glimpses of that in season 1.

I remember the cast did an old promo for the show. I think Eliza did a vine and Bob was there. I remember the slick hair? Only without the jacket? And he did another promo video with the same hair but a white shirt. I can't find it anywhere anymore.
