1.11 The Calm

KILL OR BE KILLED — With a low food supply at camp, Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and Finn (Thomas McDonell) lead a group out to hunt for food and wind up in a compromising position. With Finn’s life in danger, Clarke makes a game-changing decision. Meanwhile, Raven (guest star Lindsey Morgan) makes Bellamy (Bob Morley) an offer he can’t refuse. On the Ark – Kane risks his life and is reunited with Chancellor Jaha (Isaiah Washington) and Abby (Paige Turco). Marie Avgeropoulos, Devon Bostick and Chris Larkin also star. Mairzee Almas directed the episode written by Bruce Miller (#111).

I'll start to say that this episode was definitely a filler one and it wasn't that great as all. This is the kind of episode you watch one time and just forget about it.

The Clarke/Bellamy scene was nice, it is great to see how their dynamic is changing. Who would have thought a few episodes ago that they would laugh and joke with each other? Do I even need to talk about the puppy eyes? They are to DIE for! lol

Now the Bellamy/Raven thing. I actually was very surprised because I thought that the scene would last longer and would be...hotter? I mean I know this isn't HBO but I just didn't feel the tension that there should have had in this scene. While I understand where Raven is coming (obviously she is hurting), the hook-up and her being the instigator after learning about Clarke and Finn going on a hunting trip was a little desperate. It made her looks bad imo. The worst is that she still felt like hell after going through with it. As for Bellamy...well this is the guy who had a threesome a few days ago so...there is nothing much to say. Good to know that this was really just a random one time thing.

Clarke was imo the best thing about the episode. She saved it. She was fierce, she was badass, she was all I love to see her be. This Clarke/Finn charade needs to stop. This is painful to watch. Is it me or did Anya took a certain liking to Finn?

During some parts of the episode I really felt like I was watching a different show and for the first time since the show started, some characters felt completely OOC. The writer of the episode did a poor job with that aspect.

Should we talk about Bellamy thinking that Clarke and Finn could already by dead and saying to Raven that he was sorry? I mean suddenly he cares? He does nothing. Felt a little out of character.

About The Ark, I wasn't really interested but YESSSSS Abby is alive.

Next week episode looks AMAZING!

It was a great episode. Bellamy and Raven was a surprise. I loved it. I am glad Bellamy did not reject her as if any guy would. It should have lasted longer.

Clarke was amazing in this episode.

No guy would have rejected a girl wanting a one time ****. They have needs. That's the reason why it won't last longer. It doesn't involve feelings. It was out of revenge on Raven's part and they will both go on with their lifes. Taht's why it is called a hook-up.

Some guys would but it would be nearly impossible when the girl is taking off her clothes in front of him. Even Bellamy was like uh...at first. But then she got naked and he was like. Okay. Cool.

I am so confused as to how the grounder a don't see that they really started all of this. They keep blaming the 100 for everything and I know they have had their fair share of doing things to the grounders, but this all started when they hit Jasper with the spear. That started the fear. Then when the 100 unknowingly hurt their camp, they went after them again. So again, the 100 did not know what they had done.

They could at least acknowledge that they are partially responsible.

I wonder how many tribes there are on the earth.

What made them originally determine that the earth was uninhabitable?

The talk between B/C at the beginning was great. First it was nice to see Bellamy teasing a bit and then her talking about her mom was much needed since last episode she just ignored it. And I love when Octavia asked what they were gonna do Bellamy looked at Clarke. The ending was a little strange though how he kinda just gave up on looking for Clarke. WTF was that.

Murphy/Octavia scene, WHATTTTT. Never thought I'd see the day.

Poor Raven.

Sucks to see your ex move on so fast! I don't blame her one bit for going to Bellamy because ummmm yeahhhhhh. I'd get on that too.

I like their interaction a lot actually. It was adorable when he called her smart.

The sex scene was kinda hot, but afterwards it was so awkwarddddddd.

Him apologizing at the end was sweet though.

I didn't realize we saw Wick this early! He's hot. (sucks the actor has a bad rep)

God I cant stand Anya. She's dull and cold and Clarke was saving her you dummy.

In general this episode was kind of bland. I didn't feel like a lot happened and everyone was separated the whole time.

Yeah, I totally forgot about him being in Season 1. When he popped up in Season 2, I thought he was completely new at first.
