Maybe. I feel that way too, maybe they should make it mandatory to watch the episodes before writing for the show. Tough job but someone’s got to do it.

Lisa, you’re on dork line duty then.

Having said that, I feel like the writing on this show is still great and solid ... minor gripes here and there. It’s still bearable. I just compare it to the lines and storylines in other shows on the CW ... no comparison. I just cringe a lot for those other shows.

I think writing convincing, human-sounding dialogue is one of the hardest things to do. I'm sure they'll get better with practice.

True and considering it’s one/two lines of really bad dialogue per episode, it’s not too bad in hindsight. I’ve literally watched shows where half the episode has horrendous dialogue. I no longer watch those shows because of the secondhand embarrassment.

Speaking of bad dialogue, watching the last few minutes of the Flash is always such a trip. Dude runs up somebody's stretchy rubber arm onto a helicopter. Once inside the chopper, the first thing the guy says to him is "Cecile's pregnant." Looooooooool. It's like the Young and the Restless meets 60s Batman meets Gumby.
