Yeah, I don't know why Bellarke fans get crapped on, either, Lisa. :shrug: I know we've got our bad apples, too, but as a whole . . . I don't know what we've done other than support the show and its characters, and the cast, throughout all 3 seasons.

At least we have each other here. :group_hug:

Lisa, I agree with everything you said. I'm appalled by what she says. This ENTIRE situation makes it seem like all this time we have been shipping two character who never interact or barely, who've never had beautiful emotional, defining moments, who aren't partners but each others strengths and weaknesses. This entire situation makes it seem like we ship and care about characters that NEVER have a chance of being together. And that makes me so angry. Like we're delusional and seeing things that aren't there .I don't know why, truly why as the lead on this show, you would be so dismissive of Bellamy and Clarke ever being romantically involved?

I'm sorry guys, but I'm so so sick of it

This is the only post I'll make on the clip (which I just saw). She most definitely said the S word - I mean, you can see that her lips never made a "P" shape. I do NOT like them stringing fans along (and yes this most definitely applies to what happened to Clexa shippers, too - and that was on a whole other level of NOT COOL) - I realise it's their show, their script and their prerogative and yes it can be argued that we are perceiving something to be there that's not there and wasn't written to be there, and that we're twisting things Jason and co. have said in the past but they NEED to do better - especially right now. They (and certain factions of fans from various ships) created an environment where ship wars could thrive, so comments like these are absolutely not necessary and frankly very irresponsible. This show needs to keep the fans they have, not alienate ones even more and give ammo to further fuel ship wars.

I get that actors are entitled to their opinions on the show and its characters too, and I know they are sick and tired of being harrassed about ships, but I don't know why Bellarke fans seem to get crapped on so much, like we're a laughing stock. I guess it's because we've been around longer and have been annoying them longer, I don't know.

Cannot agree more, Lisa. Of course, she can ship whichever way she wants but I think there's a fine line between acknowledging what a major part of your fanbase supports and being respectful of that while sharing your own personal views. Plus, from what I read, the question wasn't even related to Bellarke so I'm not sure why it was suddenly linked to them.

Hey, we'll all still be here shipping our **** ship though I really understand how many people will be disheartened by this incident PLUS the added blow of not having Bob at the cons together with the cast. :(

I don't know Rose - it just concerns me because of the choice of words she used, the 'obviously' (like we're a bunch of manic kids just grasping at straws) and the 'S' word, like we ship garbage. I keep trying to put myself in her shoes and I KNOW she's exhausted and that they are afraid to even come close to talking about ships now, but you don't need to go that far :shrug:

We can't swear here so I'm going to turn the S word into a new word: Sewage!

^this though, for sure. Romantic or not, Team Bellarke is one of the strengths of the show, IMO.

Lisa, Sarah, I completely completely agree. I'm so tired of feeling this way.

But the ONLY thing that's keeping me going right now is that Eliza is not a writers and is not writing for the show so it's not up to her. It also concerns be that as much as they deeply understand their character, this is something they refuse to say could even be possible romantically? I mean honestly?

This day (fandom wise) turned into NOTHING like I imagined but I truly would like to say I love you guys and thank god we can talk to each other about this.

I think I would be out of this fandom all together without you guys. The rest of it is horrible. :eek: I'd still watch the show, but would steer far away from the rest.
